"Congratulate me and celebrate. Suffering, come to my house tonight. Set up a gathering of a poet who has lost everything. Recite the couplet of my death. She was as Heer was to Ranjha, Jaani, someone stole Heer."🎶

Heer's P.O.V.

I took a sip of the drink I was working on before my features morphed into a sour face. I was taking advantage of the slow hours at Hayat, experimenting with what I could add to the beverage to make it more appealing. Tomorrow's drink of the day was going to have matcha. For Kamran.

After I poured the beverage down the drain, I put some milk to steam before getting myself some fresh matcha powder. I began whisking it with some hot water using a bamboo whisk. As a paste formed slowly, my mind drifted off to last night.

I felt like I was walking on clouds after Kamran kissed me. He was all I saw, heard, and smelled. I don't even remember how we ended up at his flat, but all I recall is how he had the biggest smile when we saw his friends inside. When they told him I arranged the surprise party, his eyes bore a heart-melting admiration for me. With his arm around me the entire night, we were inseparable. The feeling of his lips on mine, the ringing of his voice telling me that he loves me lingered, following me home and into my dreams.

He had the most adorable, sad look on his face when it came time for me to go home. In the privacy of his bathroom, I changed out of the dress he gave me and back into my brown sweater and jeans. When I came out, he was adamant about driving me home just to spend a few more minutes together, but I refused since his friends were still there.

"One order of my girlfriend is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and I missed her along with a side of I've been staring at her for the last three minutes, but I wish she would give me her attention."

My head lifted at his voice and a huge grin found its way to my lips as I beamed, "Aşkım!"

I met him halfway at the opening of the counter space and we exchanged a hug.

"Hi beautiful."

His arms remained slung around my waist as I pecked his cheek while cupping the other, "Hi! You didn't tell me you were coming."

"I wouldn't have been able to catch you off-guard had I told you. You're insanely adorable when you're so concentrated on making a drink."

My lips curled up in a smile before glancing at my work-in-progress, "It's tomorrow's drink of the day."

He followed my gaze then lifted an eyebrow in surprise, "Matcha? You don't really like match-"

"But I love you," I looked at his chocolatey orbs tenderly.

"I love you too," he grinned.

I moved back over to the matcha and added water and honey. I then grabbed the frothing tool and dipped it into the now steamed milk.

"Are you going to make a cool design on the drink after?" Kamran asked.

"Yes. Any requests?" I lifted an eyebrow playfully, "I can make hearts, a leaf, a swan-"

"A swan?!"

I nodded, "Mhm. I can also make a butterfly. I do that for Salaar sometimes when he orders a blue butterfly latte."
