summer was usually brutal in smashville, everyone clad in their summer clothes or common clothes. it had gotten a little so hot, that everyone was too sluggish to go out to the beach or even out to the pool.

the aircon had been turned off, due to the electricity usage in the mansion, so it was like a huge sauna in every room. tired from the heat, y/n had walked into the kitchen and grabbed a tub of her favorite ice cream.

shulk, who had walked in with her had grabbed two spoons, four different types of toppings, and cherries. link and marth had walked into the kitchen as well and had asked to eat some as well.

y/n, to sweaty and exhausted to answer, just nodded in response. shulk had gotten two more spoons, and the four of them went on a journey into the backyard of the mansion.

they all sat together under an oak tree, which had a lot of shade, and ate straight from the tub of the delicious and creamy delicacy. a little bit of ice cream had gotten on y/n's cheek, so Shulk neared his face to her's, and licked it off.

"shulk! what are you doing?!" y/n asked embarrassedly as she blushed a bright red to match the lovely sword shulk wielded. "you uh.. had some ice cream on your cheek. so i'd figured you wanted it off before it got sticky." shulk said as he blushed as well.

"w-well thanks i guess..." y/n said shyly, as she averted her eyes back to the ice cream in front of her. "link, pass the chocolate syrup." shulk asked, as they continued to eat the delicious treat.

after shulk had obtained the chocolate, he put some on his finger before asking y/n to look at him, so he could put it on her nose. y/n had looked over, only to be met with chocolate on her nose. she wiped it off and resumed to her ice cream and started a chat with marth.

"you know shulk, you really should ask her to be your girlfriend." link whispered in the blonde's ear with a devillish smirk. shulk blushed and shook his head. "there's no way she'd want to date me." he whispered back.

"marth, watch this. shulk is gonna attempt to ask y/n to be his girlfriend." Link whispered into the bluenette's ear. "can't wait to see how their s support conversation goes." marth says with a chuckle.

"h-hey y/n, c-could I tell you something?" shulk stuttered, as the girl looked at him. "sure? what 's the matter shulk? something wrong?" y/n asked as she tilted her head.

link and marth chuckled as they watched the homs struggle to get his feelings out to the fairly beautiful girl in front of him as he was thinking a little too hard on what to say.

"alright so... i know i'm not a veteran fighter like you, but i really so like you and i really admire the way you do things. w-would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?" shulk said with a blush.

y/n chuckled before pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek before going back to enjoy her ice cream. shulk's eyes widened and were filled with joy.

"congratulations!" link said. "congratulations on being s supported!" marth said happily as he patted the monado boy's shoulder. "we knew you could do it." link said smiling at shulk.

y/n chuckled and looked down at her ice cream, noticing that it was starting to melt. "hey, let's go back inside before the ice cream gets gross." she said, standing up.

shulk nodded and followed his new love. "he's like a puppy." marth said with a laugh. "you were like a puppy too when you first told your wife you loved her." link said as they both walked back inside.
