SPOILER WARNING
"Y/N, come on!" Laura motioned for you to come with her.
You looked at Travis and back at Laura, hesitating to answer.
"N-No."
"Are you crazy?!"
"I wanna stay with him."
With nothing to say in return, Laura ultimately left without you as she didn't have the strength nor time to argue.
You watched her retreating figure before turning back to Travis.
You could only see the back of him but you still could tell he was devastated.
You were almost scared to talk. There was a possibility that he could lash out at you. People have different ways of grieving.
But you eventually managed to get a few words out.
"Travis... I'm sorry." Your eyes began to well up.
You shouldn't be the one crying. Travis should.
"I couldn't stop her. I'm so sorry." You continued.
"It's not your fault." He replied without even turning to you. He sounded almost... indifferent.
You looked at him for a moment, pondering, before you eventually ran to him and wrapped your arms around him, embracing him from behind.
He placed a hand on one of your arms and buried his face in it.
