My Missing Piece

I found her

*Lucy POV*

Lucy- so wheres your mom?

Skylar- oh she's at home

Lucy- did she not want to come with you today?

Skylar- um.. n- no she's not really big on the whole football thing

Lucy- ohhh, that makes sense. Could you just wait here for 5 minutes?

Skylar- um yeah okay

The game has just finished which means I had to celebrate with the girls so nobody suspected anything. I go straight over to Keira and whisper something so that only she can hear

Lucy- *whispers* I need to tell you something

Keira- everything okay? *smile fades*

Lucy- yeah.. I just need to tell you

Keira- when?

Lucy- after getting changed, in the cafe

Keira- okay, ill be there

After celebrating with the girls, I look up behind the subs bench to check that she's still there. She is.

I make my way up to her and tell her to come with me

Lucy- you ready to go?

Skylar- to go where?

Lucy- to the cafe, I want to get to know you more so I'm going to buy us a drink

Skylar- oh okay *hesitantly follows Lucy*

We get to the cafe and I order us some drinks.

Lucy- what would you like?

Skylar- just a water please

Lucy- do you like hot chocolate?

Skylar- yeah of course I do

Lucy- hot chocolate it is then

I order myself a cappuccino and Skylar a hot chocolate and a slice of chocolate cake.

I make sure that Skylar is facing away from the door so that I can see when Keira comes in. As soon as she does I know that I need to talk to her away from Skylar. Just until I'm sure of her home situation. If she's happy at home I can't just take her away and if she doesnt know she's adopted or fostered then I definitely can't take her away from that.

Lucy- right I'm just going to talk to Keira, ill be back in a minute okay?

Skylar- yeah of course. She can join us if she likes after you've spoken

Lucy- thanks Skylar, I'll tell her that

Skylar- no problem, take your time.

I make my way over to Keira and signal for her to sit at the table with me. Not too far from Skylar, but out of reach of her hearing us.

Keira- so what's up?

Lucy- there's a girl behind you on the table over there. Brunette hair with brown eyes in the city shirt

Keira- what about her? *spots Skylar*

Lucy- she's my daughter

Keira- i didn't know you had a daughter

Lucy- yeah, shes been in the system her whole life. I wanted to keep her but I couldn't do it on my own, no financial support, no job, nobody to help look after her. The dad took off as soon as we found out, havent heard from him since. I was only 16. But the only problem is that she's been talking about her mom and dad. I don't know whether she knows that they're not biological
