*Skylar POV*
My first week of training was so good, i made a new friend the first day, Hannah and i made a new friend since then aswell, Zara theyre both so nice! we have a game next week, i doubt ill be on because its my first one, we have to prove ourselves in training but i dont knwo whetehr ive done enough yet.
It's saturday today and its the day im meeting Lucy's family today.. i dont know what time theyre supposed to be coming so im outside with Keira and Narla at the moment
Keira- you excited?
Skylar- im nervous
Keira- dont worry, so was i the first time
Skylar- well you did it, im not sure how im going to get through this
Keira- youll be fine they will love you! how can they not
Skylar- quite easily actually *nervous laugh*
Lucy- *from inside* Skylar! come inside please
I walk inside and im immediately pulled into a hug.
Sophie- its so nice to meet you! im Sophie, Lucy's sister
Skylar- hi im Skylar, its lovely to meet you
Diane- hi Skylar, im Lucy's mom
Skylar- hi, its nice to meet you
Diane- you too, you look beautiful today
Skylar- oh thank you, i dressed up for the occasion
Sophie- awe!
Diane- is Keira not here?
Skylar- shes in the garden with Narla, would you like to come out? ah sorry, im asking you like this my house
Lucy- this is your house Skye, feel free to tell them where to go *laughs*
Sophie- TO THE GARDEN!
Skylar- *follows Sophie into the garden*
Lucy- i think shes just nervous
Diane- its okay Luce, its a lot for someone to handle, let alone a 14 year old, its going to take some getting used to for her, just be patient
Lucy- im trying mom, its not easy for her not to be able to call me mom or to not be able to call this house her home
Diane- i know Luce, she'll get there, give her time
*They walk out into the garden*
Diane- right missy, tell me about you!
Skylar- erm, what do you want to know
Diane- a little birdy told me that you play football
Skylar- oh yeah, ive always loved playing
Diane- you just signed didnt you?
Skylar- yeah to City under 16s
Diane- brilliant
Sophie- can you teach me?
Skylar- yeah of course
Sophie- where do you play?
Skylar- you mean place or position?
Sophie- position
Skylar- goal keeper
Sophie- are you good?
Skylar- im alright
Lucy- she amazing, try her Soph
Sophie- get in goal then!
*30 minutes later*
Sophie- no im done, youve saved every goal
Skylar- told you i was alright *laughs*
Keira- dinners ready!
Lucy- im starving
Sophie- me too
Diane- its your birthday soon isnt it?
Skylar- yeah two weeks
Lucy- she hasnt decided what she wants to do for it yet
Sophie- what about a party?
Skylar- im not sure yet, ill decide after the match next week
There was more conversation over dinner and afterwards we went to watch a film because its quite chilly outside now. after the film we said goodbye to Sophie and Diane and decided to call it a night.
Skylar- im off to bed
Keira- okay goodnight
Lucy- night Skye
Skylar- night mom *smiles*
Lucy- *smiles back*
i was so happy after today, Lucy's mom and sister took a genuine interest into me and didnt ask about my past or anything of the sort, they made me feel welcome into their family and it genuinely made me feel good, better than ive felt since i was with the girls last.
*Lucy POV*
Keira- did she just-
Lucy- yeah, she did
Skye just called me mom, it makes me so happy. maybe shes just testing the waters of it but it makes me happy that she feels confortable enough to say it, especially after the reassurance from my own mother earlier today.
Lucy- so, Skye's birthday
Keira- yeah, she doesnt know what she wants to do, if we wait for her to tell us, it gives us less than a week to plan it
Lucy- exactly, i think we should plan a party, like a BBQ or something?
Keira- thats a good idea
Lucy- i mean the garden is big enough to do it here
Keira- yeah it is, ill talk to Hannah and Zara and invite them too
Lucy- good idea. ill invite the other girls from England
Keira- yeah and some of the city girls
Lucy- yeah of course
Keira- sorted, on the day, do you want to take her out for breakfast and ill organise the house for it?
Lucy- yeah that sounds good, but wont she want you to come with us?
Keira- if she does we will deal with it
Lucy- okay sorted
Keira- shall we head to bed? im shattered
Lucy- yeah me too, lets go.
I slept peacefully that night, knowing all was well in the Bronze-Walsh household.
