the next week at camp went quite fast, it was so busy that i didnt have time to stop and think most days. after seeing my performance as midfielder, leah said that i was good at both and could choose which one i wanted to play in for training. i chose goalkeeper because i actually preferred it when training with the girls.
its home time today and im just saying goodbye to all the girls before getting in the car to go home.
Beth- you better stay in touch *hugs Skylar*
Skylar- i will, i promise
Leah- we will see you very soon
Skylar- sooner than you think
Rachel- im going to miss you Little Bronze
Millie- shame you have to live in Manchester and not London
Skylar- i know but we will still talk everyday
Rachel- definitely! you need to let us know how youre getting on in training
Skylar- i will definitely.
When we get home im just unpacking my stuff and my phone starts ringing. i expect it to be one of the girls, even though we just left each other a couple hours ago, so when i pick it up im surprised when its an unknown number.
?- Hi there, is this Skylar?
Skylar- it is, can i ask who this is?
?- Yes, sorry, im Gareth Taylor, the manager for Manchester City
Skylar- oh hi, how can i help?
Gareth- id like to invite you to play and sign for manchester city under 16s
Skylar- i would absolutely like to accept your invite
Gareth- great, im aware that Lucy and Keira also play for us and youre currently living with them, is this correct?
Skylar- yes this is correct
Gareth- great, the under 16s training happens straight after theirs, you are more than welcome to join in or watch their training. would you be able to start on monday? also what position do you play?
Skylar- i play Goalkeeper and i am able to start on monday
Gareth- great, i look forward to meeting you
Skylar- you too, thank you, bye

we just got back home and me and Keira are doing some sandwiches for lunch whilst Skylar is upstairs unpacking her clothes from camp. everything seems fine for a while but all of a sudden we hear a scream from Skylar. i look to Keira and we both just pound up the stairs to check on her. i bang on the door and ask her to let us in
Lucy- Skylar?!
Skylar- *opens the door*
Keira- what happened??
Skylar- oh nothing... just that ive been asked to sign for Manchester City under 16s!!
Lucy- oh my god seriously?
Skylar- *nods* yess, i start on monday
Keira- im so proud of you
We both pull Skylar into a hug and celebrate her joining her dream team.
