"Clara Rogers open this door right now!" I yelled pounding on the door.

No answer.

"I know you felt something when you kissed me. I felt it too" I said leaning my ear against the door.

She opened the door slowly and sighed.

"I don't want to feel anything Shawn" she said

"But why? We would be such a good couple together" I said holding her waist.

She pushed me off looking at the ground. I hugged her tightly without hesitation.

"Shawn, I just don't like you that way" she mumbled.

"I know" I sighed. "But you will. I know it" I said kissing her cheek.

She smiled holding her cheek. I ran towards my car heading home as the sun set. I felt happiness in my chest but it wasn't happiness it was pain. I just wanted her to be mine already but she didn't feel the same way. I went to the store to pick up some flowers for her. Sunflowers were her favorite. I went back to her house as the door was already opened. I slowly walked in looking around. She was vacuuming jumping up and down to her music.

"Clara!" I yelled.

She chuckled and turned off the vacuum. I smiled and handed her the flowers.

"Shawn" she said grinning.

"Wanna go get ice cream?" I asked.

"I'm not going on a date with you" she said wrapping the cord around the neck of the vacuum.

"It's not a date. It's a friend date just like old times" I said smoothly.

She chuckled and nodded.

"Lemme go get changed and we can go" she said smiling.

She put the flowers on the table and headed upstairs. She came back down after a couple minutes wearing some short overalls and her hair up in a bun.

"So cute" I said pulling the hem of her shorts.

She giggled and pushed me off.

---

"Thank you for ice cream" she said kissing my cheek as we walked along the beach.

"You're extremely welcome" I replied.

I grabbed her hand and she hesitated for moment but soon squeezed it. I smiled as we swung it back and forth skipping down the beach.

"Wanna have a sleepover my mom is gone for the day" she asked.

"Yeah but I call the couch!" I teased.

"Dammit" she mumbled back.

We laughed and turned back around towards her house. Set the trap, set the trap.
