Chapter Nineteen

I woke up panting with cords strung up to my arms. I gasped for air looking around confused.

"Oh thank god, you're awake" my mom said holding my arm.

My dad smiled kissing my head.

"What happened?" I asked rubbing my head.

They looked at each other and my mom sighed.

"Honey, you tried to overdose on some pills, thankfully the ambulance was there in time"she replied calmly.

"Son, why'd you take the pills?" my dad asked.

I shook my head tears welting up inside of me.

"I was just under a lot of stress" I lied.

"Was it because of Clara?" my mom asked sobbing.

I just sat there in silence. I didn't want to tell them the truth, it'd be to painful for them. Them thinking that I needed to be with Clara and not them. I love them, but Clara. I wasn't thinking and I'm glad I'm alive. It's just going to be extremely hard for me. I don't think I'll be able to do anything ever again.

"Honey, it's okay, she's in a better place" my mom spoke rubbing my arm.

I sighed and nodded. She was living in hell and I felt so bad for her.

"Mom I have a confession to make" I said quietly.

The both looked at me wiping away tears.

"Clara and I were dating" my voice cracked.

She grinned and held my dads hand.

"We knew it was gonna happen honey" she chuckled.

I smiled and rested my head against the pillow. I was never gonna have the guts to tell them that I tried to kill myself purposely.

"We're gonna go get something to eat" my dad said holding my shoulder.

I nodded and sighed. they left the room leaving me cold and sad. I felt a glimpse of warmth on my skin. I jumped for a moment and saw Clara.

"Clara?" I asked.

she smiled.

"How-"

"It's just you're imagination baby" she replied sitting on the bed next to me.

"I'm sorry I didn't come with you" I sobbed in her shoulder.

"Shawnie, it's okay, you're family needs you" I replied.

"But you're family needed you too" I replied wiping away tears.

She looked at my hands and sighed.

"Shawn, I love you so much" she said passionately.

I smiled.

"I wish I could be with you forever" I choked on air.

She smiled and tear fell from her eye.

"Kiss me" she said seductively.

I leaned in pressing my lips on her plump pink ones. I let go as we rested our heads against each other's. I bit my bottom lip and cried.

"I always be with you, you know that right?" She said smiling.

I smiled and nodded. She pecked my forehead and left the room. I covered my face with my hands and cried into them. why did this have to happen to me, why?
