What the hell is going on with Perez? He has never hit a woman, Okay, don't get me wrong, I have been in a couple of relationships, we disagree, we argue but it has never gone to an extent of hitting a woman. That's insane. I wonder what he was thinking! " Perez! What's going on?" I was supposed to come out here and punch him but seeing him in this situation, broke my heart. "let's get your wound cleaned up!" I told him , we drove outside the city to a place we used to hang out when we were kids. we watched kids playing with each other. "You know sometimes I just don't get you Perez, one minute you are the Perez we know and the next minute you are a stranger, a complete stranger! You can talk to me , you know that?" "yes I know, I thought that bringing her to Italy will make her...make her-" "make her like you?" I finished for him. "no, maybe, I am just not sure of this, I hate myself for doing that." " Why did you hit her?" I asked. "We were arguing and I just lost control of myself and the next thing I know,she was on the floor, I could see fear in her eyes like... like she was scared of me. She even told me not to touch her." He said.

"thanks for being here" "I got you, but Tony is going to kick your ass." I added he chuckled, "Yeap, he is going to kick my ass". We stayed there for like half an hour before we headed home.

"what made him so angry that he hit you?" Perez's mother asked me. "Mrs. Perez-" "call me Victoria Honey" "Victoria, I don't know,I think he doesn't like things being out of his control." I said and sipped some coffee. "I agree with you Zo" Tony said. " to be honest, I have never seen a woman slapping a man like that, you are my hero, when I grow up, I want to be like you." I laughed "That was so confident of you honey, don't let a man disrespect you like that." Victoria said. " you know, I even drunk so that I can get the energy to lift my arm, I thought I was not strong or confident enough to face him" I said then sighed. Victoria rubbed my back in a soothing way and said , it's okay , it's going to be okay.
Perez pulled in the drive way and found us in the kitchen. He looked at me with pain and regret in his eyes. He passed us and went for the staircase. "Where to Perez?" Tony asked him. " I was just going to take a shower and sleep" He said ,like an obedient teenager. "Oh yeah?" Tony asked him and walked towards him slowly. "yeah". We heard a soft ' oomph '. He punched his face. "That's for Zoe, have a great shower." I was stunned ,and he left. His mother tapped him on his shoulder and wished him a good night. I wasn't sure of what I will say ,so I just passed him and headed straight for my room.
