Zoe and Giovanni

Chapter 12.

GIOVANNI PEREZ'S POV.
"She's coming in!" Asaf said.
"who? Zoe?"
"Open this god-damned door!" I heard Zoe shouting. All eyes were on me, all the other mob leaders hid their guns and some little bit of drugs. Leo and Tony looked at me surprised and I didn't know what to say or do. My mother nodded at me and I proceeded to open the door.
An angry Zoe looked at me and pushed her way inside the room.
" Zoe can we talk outside pleas-"
A harsh slap cut my sentence short. I could sense that all people in the room were stunned, unable to react.
She then back handed me. I totally deserve this. Then she slapped me again and again. my face was sore but what can I do. Four slaps. Four fucking slaps!
"Zoe i-" I started
"mh mh ,,uh uh ,shut up!, I don't want to hear anything coming from you right now! you listen to me!"
She grabbed my chin harshly and forced me to face her, looking directly into her eyes.
"If you ever lay a hand on me again or raise a hand at me, I promise you,I am going to break those arms and shove them down your throat!"

"What!" Tony exclaimed! " You did what Perez!"
"Am I clear?" she said softly between gritted teeth. "DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!"
She repeated again but this time she yelled.
I nodded. And because of shame I exited the room quickly and went outside to inhale some fresh air and loosening my tie. I totally deserve that , I totally deserve that .I kept telling myself. I lost control and I started hitting my car window, hitting, hitting and hitting until my hand bled.

"Zoe are you okay?" Tony asked and touched my scars "Why didn't you tell us, me that he hit you!" He stressed ME.
"Don't worry about me, I wanted to deal with it on my own, am okay!" I said and wiped the tear I felt on my cheek.
"Oh he is going to learn from me how to treat women!" Leo said and went after Perez, I tried to stop him but he was too fast.

That my friend, will be a mess!

I looked around and saw an old woman looking at me with anger, surprise I couldn't tell. She walked over to me.
"So, you are the girl he hit huh?"
I looked at her stunned , she had similar features like Perez, same hazel eyes, a fine jawline and a ring exactly like Perez's.
"I ...I.." I started.
"Sh sh, it's okay honey, you did great" she said and started rubbing my cheeks up and down. I guess  she is his mother. I took her hands in mine and capped them.
"I am sorry if I caused a scene, I just wanted to-"
" to let it out of your chest? I understand. Now come on let's get you sobered up then we head home . alright?"
I was too shocked to speak so I just nodded and she took my hand in hers and led me in one of the car she came with.
Tony gave the we-will-talk-about-it-later look and I just nodded.
