Part 28 - Busted

~Ze's POV~

"It's done," Chilled announces, stepping out of the back room holding the heated vial with protective gloves as the steam rises off of the small vial. Nanners stares at the solution with a very doubtful look, and distasteful seeing the burning hot chemicals that may burn off the insides of his mouth. Chilled sets down the solution on the counter and I stare at it's strange blue color and Nanners frowns further as he leans with his chin on the table top. Clearly this vial full of solution does not have good taste at all, it smells terrible but this is what is needed in order for his visibility. All three of us just stare at the creation, in awe such a thing is now at our disposal, something that may change the entire game between the entire base and the Hidden. Such a small thing, it doesn't even look like a game changer rather than another one of Chilled's experiments that will lead to another weekly lab cleaning. Chilled hands me his gloves and I take them and pick up the vial, holding it up and swishing it around slightly. Such a regular looking liquid and it can change Nanners and Chilled forever.

"We should cool it off, then you can be our guinea pig," I explain and glance towards Nanners who is just standing, stunned as he stares at the liquid as I carry it away. Heading into the backroom I place it under the fans to cool off and immediately freeze. Glancing over to the cabinet that was always locked before not has a dent in the side and the lock seems completely busted. Did Chilled do this? I doubt he'd be so angry about the bans to completely break a cabinet, and I doubt Nanners would care about chemicals enough to do this. Reaching out I open the cabinet and find the chemicals still there, and still banned. I close the door and look around for something to lock it for good with but finding nothing I decide just to move some boxes to block it. Just as I hide it, the door opens making me glance over, surprisingly finding Ohm.

"Ohm, what do you need?" I ask and he looks at me for a moment and motions to the small bottle on the shelves.

"The regular," he explains and I nearly forgot he always takes these. I glance over at the bottle he takes and glance back towards the cooling. Vitamins every week for Ohm, he usually prepares them ahead too, it must be nice to have such a strict diet and exercise. Or maybe it's some sort of disease he has, it can really be either or. It's not really my business I suppose, I know personally how it is with disorders, infections, those sort of things. As Ohm leaves I stare at the solution, meant to change the entire game, still steaming in heat but less than before.

Leaving the room I find Chilled staring at Nanners, seeming curious while Nanners is focusing on me, and by me I mean the solution. Chilled even tries to talk to him but Nanners refuses to say a word in front of him. I suppose Nanners wants to make a big surprise when he can possibly turn visible just suddenly in front of Chilled. I have a feeling that surprise is one that they would rather me not take a part in.

"It should be drinkable in half an hour or so," I explain and they both nod, both seeking equally tense. "Before you guys get too excited, by the way, it will block off production of those particular cells but it will only be in effect to make you visible in hours, maybe days. Now this will also reset your athletic skills and such back to how you were as a human so it is disadvantageous in some way. Chilled, after he takes it I'd like you to make sure notes and watch him," I explain and Chilled immediately tenses up.

"Why me? He's your friend," Chilled says immediately, obviously a bit nervous about meeting the hidden who always hangs around us.

"Diction needs to speak with me for some reason. Don't you want to meet him? Its not fair only I can see him," I say and he immediately hesitates. He has noticed I can see the Hidden clearly but he's never asked anything about it, probably figuring it was his imagination. Glancing between the two I do feel like something amazing just might happen to the two of them today. My phone buzzes, breaking the silence and getting my attention. What a surprise, it's Alice. While she stopped talking to me as often as she used to, we still talk like good friends. After the incident with Gassy nothing's really come out in the news so I'm hoping that is a sign that she hasn't thought about releasing that video of him nearly killing....
