Adjusting

I yawned and sat up as I went to Olivia's side as she was resting from the medical treatment she had gone through last night. They said she would be okay and the damage wasn't bad.

I stroked her white hair, stroking it, I heard her bloodline loved it, at least from father before he passed away when I was 7.

I made sure to stay by her side no matter what. I got on the med nest (medical nest) and watched over her and made sure nothing bad would happen to her.

I decided to head out of Caesar's tree hut for some breakfast for her.

I went to where the food storage was and got us some meat especially deer meat, berries and some water. I put it all in my side bag and went back to the hut.

I saw her eyes flutter opened and close a few times slowly. I slowly walked over to her as she started to get her bearings.

Olivia: "Kyle" she moaned out most likely in pain from the medical healing she went through yesterday, the stitching and drugging for the surgery, it was tense for me but she'll be okay.

Kyle: "you shouldn't get up, you have stitches on your side but they will disappear in time" i said as I walked up to her and kneeled beside her.

Kyle: "I brought you breakfast from the storage, since I woke earlier most apes were still asleep so I decided I would help myself as usual" I said as opened my bag and pulled out the water first, berries and lastly the meat. She eyes the deer meat.

I saw her snake her hands towards the deer meat but my hand gently slid underneath hers and I gently held it chuckling at her attempt to grab the deer meat without me noticing.

Kyle: "ah ah, water first, you must be thirsty" i said gently and placed the water jug in her hand and helped her sit up so she could drink it.

After she drank it, I placed a skin over her lap and made sure she didn't get any berry juice over her while she ate them.

After she ate them all, I took out a knife and started to cut the deer meat in pieces. She was practically drooling as she stared at the meat I finished cutting up.

I saw her pout and puffed her cheeks out as I handed her a piece.

Kyle: *laughs quietly* "you look cute when you pout" i said as I gave her a piece out she put it half out and smiled and gulped it down afterwards.

Olivia: "why can't I eat bigger pieces..." she whined.

Kyle: "because, when you took that hit from the bull, it knocked you out cold, so I was told by the healers to make sure you, *points at her* eat small pieces until your jaw feels better" i said as I handed her another piece.

Olivia: "I guess that will do until I feel better" she said understanding.

Olivia: "where are we anyway?" She asked me.

Kyle: "we are in my home, our home. The great Royal ape redwood village" i replied.

I then went out to get myself water as well. I headed down the spirally wooden log stairs back down towards and noticed the the tribe was waking up, caesar was walking towards the higher ranking tables and sat down, I saw him and walked over to him and greeted him with a head hug and he motioned for me to sit next to him.

Caesar: "so how is she doing?" He asked me on her condition.

Kyle: "she's doing better, I had went and got her some breakfast to eat" I replied back in sign language to which he nodded and we both turned our attention to koba who joking around.
