Birth of a new generation (🍋)

(1 year later)

I yawned got up and got out of our new house I had built us. I stretched and walked out, I decided to head over to the ape village to visit caesar and queen cornilia, this month cornilia was due to her and Caesar's baby. Me and Olivia were planning on having one this spring on a full moon. It was becoming spring the next month, so we had to prepare things for the baby's we planned to have.

Me and Olivia lived quite close to the ape village but close to the hidden hot springs as well, so in the middle.

I got my stuff, my bone sword and spear, put the spear and bone saw sword on my back over laying each other in an x form and gathered some clothes, got Olvias things ready, woke her up and we headed to the village for a quick visit.

we both shifted, and ran towards the village in a quick pace, the sun was shining in an early dawn, a dense warm fog was in the early morning as well.

(1 hour later and 25 minutes later)

We finally got to the redwood forest and started to make our way into the forest and towards the village. We both finally made it to the village gates. Shifted back to our normal forms and went inside. We saw a lot of changes happened but not many tho. Maurice was starting to teach the younger apes class. I then headed inside and a few apes were the first to notice us. I saw koba run towards me and tackled me in a hug, as we rolled and play fight for a bit. we both held each other's shoulders and smiled. He smiled at Olivia and she smiled warmly back.

Kyle: "koba, any news on Caesar's baby being born soon?" I said grunting in ape language.

Koba: "the healers said tomorrow but they weren't sure" he grunted back.

Olivia: "that reminds me, koba do you know were Cornelia is right now?" Olivia grunted.

Koba: "in the Royal hut, she's on her bed resting until the birth" he grunted back.

I taught Olivia the ape language with the help of Maurice. She speaks it perfectly in vocals and words.

Me and koba caught up with stuff and how we were doing these days.

His and Sophie's baby was due in 3 months. I congratulated him and we talked about. Male ape stuff.

After awhile I saw caesar come down, he must have woken up recently.

He saw me and started run to me, I ran towards him as well, we both hugged each other tightly as we both met in the middle.

Caesar: "I'm glad your back, brother" he said gruffly.

Kyle: "it feels good to be back home" i I said happily.

Me, koba and caesar went to a table, talked ate with each other, brother to brother, we laughed of embarrassing things and cheated of other things.

We decided to go on a hunt, with kobas hunting clan.

We sneakily climbed over the unsuspecting elk, and we waited for the lower flank to circle around and wait for the ambush while they hid, we would chase them towards them. I guess my hunting technique from many years ago really works well with getting meat for the tribe. I felt proud it helped them a lot with hunting.

We waited 10 minutes until the ape reported back they were set and headed to us in the trees, we saw him and he signed quietly saying it was time. I looked and and nodded, he then suddenly yelled with his fist in the air, scaring the prey, giving the signal the hunt has started, it was take down what your can and kill it.
