Building the camp

(3 months later)

(Kyles pov)

I woke up from a loud hoot that sounded across the tribe camp. I got out of my temporary tribe house tent thingy. As I made my way to the clearing to the leaders rock.
An ape that was In charge of the inner camps building process. Told each ape of what to build and where. Caesar told that ape of where we should put wood, walls and houses etc. he wanted it to be the perfect camp for us.
So as I made it to the ape. I tired signed to him

"What should I with today" I signed

He frowned
"You mean what should i Help with" he corrected me with signing

I nodded

"Help with the log wall process over there"he signed and pointed across to the unfinished walls

"We need to get these walls up before the winter arrives" he continued to sign to me.

I nodded.

I made my way to the wall that was still in process, lots of wood, large logs were still laying in piles separately for each part of the wall.
I signed to the apes working there.

"I was told to help eer today" I signed

They corrected my signing
"You meant to say your Here to help today" they signed back

You nodded

They looked at each other then hooted in laugher at my bad signing
But I knew they laughed at me in a humorous way and joined in the laughter.

As I was helping a couple of apes in the wall, carrying a large heavy log. You helped set it down facing forward so the apes below could guild the log down, to face it upright and push it to cover the wall side.
It was a struggle getting a couple large wood logs up the stair-like-ramp up a few levels, but you did it for at least a few hours. And you and the rest were getting tired.

A hoot sounded through to you and the apes you were lifting the logs with.

The ape behind you grunt for you attention.

You looked at him in curiosity.

"Ape say it's our break and other apes will take our place till it is over" he signed to you.

You nodded in agreement and headed down the ramp as the other apes took your guys place.

The other apes were handing out rations to the builders. They handed water, and berry's as well as some pieces of cooked meat.
You were about to take the rations. But you heard hoots of panic from above.
The apes couldn't get a large log placed out of the walls correctly so it started to fall without helping hands from below them.
The log started to titter downward slowly tipping over the edge of the wall.
As it did you notice there was a lot of apes still in the way below the log.
The large log started to fall

The apes above warned them below shrieking in panic.
Most of the apes got out of the way.
Except a few elder apes.

You ran towards the elders in hoping you could push them out the way.
But that would not be in time.
You had to catch it from crushing them...

(Caesar's pov)

As I woke from my tribe house from the large tree in the middle of the camp.
I stretched out and got out of my large nest.
I looked out and saw the male apes waking up to start building today again.

I saw Kyle make his way across to the building planner ape and sign.

The other ape frowned at his signing and corrected his signing and pointed to the walls that were being built. He made his was across to them.
I told Kyle that we would teach him to sign. Maurice would teach him in his class's with the little ones he was teaching as well.
