chapter 10- run.

We get into the room and lock the door.
"C'mon." Mike says as he walks to the radio.
"Now what?" Dustin asks.
"She'll find him. Right El?"
He goes to a static station and El concentrates on the sound.
"She's doing it. She's finding him!"
"This is crazy."
"Calm down she just closed her eyes." Lucas says.
The light bulb above us breaks, scaring us.
"Holy.."
We hear clanging from the radio and it gets louder.
"What is that?" I ask.
"Mom?" We hear will mumble through the radio.
"Holy shit."
"No way."
"Mom.. please.. mom! Mom!"
"Will!"
"Will it's us are you there?"
"Can you hear us were here!"
"Will, it's y/n can you hear us?"
"Hello? Mom?"
"Will please.."
"Why can't he hear us?"
"I don't know!"
I close my eyes and concentrate on his voice. Soon, i can hear him clearly like he's right here but i open my eyes and I'm in a dark void.
"Will? Will!" I shout. I suddenly can hear Joyce.
"Will? Oh thank God! Baby.. will.." she says.
"Mom.."
I can also hear a monster like sound growling, similar to what i heard in my dream..
Why can't he hear me?
NO ONES POV:
"Y/n? Y/n what happened are you ok?" Mike says shaking y/n.
"What the fuck?"
"His nose is bleeding.."
Y/NS POV:
"Mom.. mom it's coming!"
"WILL!" I let out a blood curling scream.
"Y/n!?" He says.
"Yes I'm here where are you?"
"How do I get to you?" Joyce says. She can't hear me but at least will can.
"ITS LIKE HOME BUT ITS SO DARK ITS SO DARK AND EMPTY AND ITS COLD! MOM? Y/N!"
"Listen to me I'm gonna get to you okay??" She says.
"I PROMISE ILL FIND YOU.. EVEN IF ITS THE LAST THING I DO JUST HANG ON THERE PLEASE!"
"right now i need you to hide!"
"MOM, Y/N PLEASE!"
"NONO LISTEN TO ME I WILL FIND YOU BUT YOU HAVE TO RUN NOW!"
"LISTEN TO HER WILL, RUN OK? FIND SOMEWHERE TO HIDE! SOMEWHERE YOU FEEL SAFER!"

I'm suddenly pulled out if the transe by the radios fuse blowing.
The fire alarm goes off so Dustin gets the fire extinguisher and puts the fire off. I loose balance but Mike and Lucas help me keep standing up.
"Y/n what was that?"
"I don't know!" I say sobbing.
Dustin comes to help me and Mike goes to El.
"El, are you ok? Can you move? C'mon we have to help them up."
They put us in this library cart thing and pushes us out of the school.
They take us to Mike's basement and put us on the couch.
I don't know what exactly happened but i can't really move i feel so weak..
"What was will saying? Like home.. like home.. but dark?"
"And empty."
"Empty and cold.. wait did he say cold?"
"I don't know the stupid radio kept going in and out!"
"It's like riddles in the dark."
"Like home.. like his house?"
"Or maybe like Hawkins?"
"Upsidedown." Me and eleven say at the same time.
"What'd they say?"
"Upsidedown."
"What?"
"Upsidedown!"
"When El showed us where will is she flipped the board upsidedown, remember? Upsidedown! Dark. Empty."
"Do you understand what he's talking about?"
"No."
"Guys c'mon think about it! When El took us to find will she took us to his house right?"
"Yeah? And he wasn't there."
"But what if he was there? What if we just couldn't see him? What if he was on the other side? What if this is Hawkins and.. this is where will is? The upsidedown."
"Like the vale of shadows. -dustin says as he gets the dnd book.- the vale of shadows is a dimension that is a dark reflection or echo of our world.. it is a place of decay and death. A plane out of phase, a place of monsters... It is right next to you and you don't even notice.."
"An alternate dimension."
"But.. how do we get there?"
"We have to shadow walk."
"In real life dummy."
"We can't shadow walk but.. maybe they can." He says looking at us.
I finally feel better enough so i can move.
"Yeah, what happened with you back there?"
"I don't know.. i just focused on his voice and suddenly i was in this dark void and he sounded so clear like i was right next to him.. at first he couldn't hear me but then i used all of my strength to scream and get his attention and it worked.. it was like i could talk to him through our world. Like i can communicate with him even in the upsidedown.. but I'm not strong enough to do that.."
"Holy shit.. do you think you also have powers?"
"I don't think so. Not like El but i think i can like look into other dimensions."
"So.. do you know where to get there? To the upsidedown?"
"No. But i think to get there you have to go through some sort of gate." I say.
Eleven just nods yes to Mike.
"Oh my god.."
"Ok.. we can figure this all out after the funeral tomorrow. It's late and we're all tired."
"Ok."
