Chapter 1. The Way Out.

Ivy's POV

I woke from my sleep to see my brother Kade already up and moving. "Good Morning Kade, are you ready for today?" Today the weird social services lady was coming to pick us up and take us to the airport where we would meet our new father. "Yeah. I'm nervous though, but I am so happy we are getting out of this hell hole of a house," Kade said anxiously. "I went downstairs earlier and Mom and Dad were gone, they are probably at one of their fucking drug houses that they go to." Kade started to get angry. "I don't understand what we ever did for them not to want us." his eyes filled with tears. "hey in a few hours we will never have to worry about them ever again. They will never be able to hurt us anymore." I tried my hardest to calm him down he still was angry. I was too.

2 hours go by and we hear a knock at the door we run down the stairs to see a lady with a bright yellow jumpsuit that washed out her skin. A ponytail that was slicked up to high could probably pull all her hair out, and a really big fake smile.

"Come on children grab your stuff and get in the car," The lady said. So we did as we were told and got in the car not looking back.

As we arrived at the airport we get checked in, go through security, and get find our gate. The social services lady gave us 30 dollars so that we could get snacks for the plane ride. We both got water and Starbucks, Also we got chips.

We boarded our flight an hour and a half after we got there, I was sitting in the window seat while Kade was next to me in the middle. We had the row to ourselves with no one sitting in the aisle seat. I was excited to meet Danny. Wow, that is going to get a lot of getting used to I thought. I have been a fan of drag race since season 11 was airing. I have known Adore and seen her work for years so I'm excited that we get to live with her.

Danny(Adore) POV

"Raja, I'm so scared that they won't like me," I said while on a call with Raja.

"They are going to love you babes. Also, you better bring them over so they can meet me," Raja jokingly said.

"Don't worry I will." Danny laughed. "No, but seriously I'm scared." I tried to calm myself down as much as I could. "Raja I have to go I am almost there and I need to mentally prepare myself."

"ok babes, I love you. One more thing before you go, You are going to make an amazing father. ok, love you bye."

I hope what Raja said was true. I really hope they like me.

I came across these kids when a friend of mine told me that his sister's cousin's brother something idk had a "friend" that had twins that were 14, 1 boy, and 1 girl that was going to be rehomed by CPS. If they couldn't find anyone to adopt they were going to go to an orphanage.

I have always wanted to be a dad but never had a partner that wanted to be a dad. So I finally just said fuck it and now here we are.

I finally arrived at the airport and I made my way to the area where the kids were going to come out. I was riddled with anxiety until I saw them.

Kade's POV

We landed after an hour plane ride and then went to baggage claim to get our luggage, to be honest, it wasn't much. We found the exit because this stupid airport is so big for no reason at all, Fuck you LAX I thought to myself. "Hey Ivy?" I said quietly "Yeah?" She responded confused "Is that Danny over there?" I say anxiously "Holy fuck it is!" She said shocked "I guess we just go over there right?... Ivy?" Ivy turned around and tears formed in her eyes. "Ivy, what is wrong?" I said concerned. "The reality has set in and I'm scared he won't like us and he will send us back to Grand Rapids." I calm her down from her almost panic attack and we walk over to Danny.

"Hi, are you Danny?" I ask curiously. "I am, You two must be Kade and Ivy," Danny said happily. "Nice to meet you, Danny," Ivy said full of anxiety. Danny pulled us into his embrace and for once in my life I felt safe and at home. "let me take your bags and when can get out of here." Danny said grabbing our stuff.
