Chapter 5. San Diego

Also, Gottmik is in this book his name is also Kade. So anytime I say Kade it is the kid, NOT Gottmik. Gottmik will be referred to as Mik or Gottmik. Sorry, not sorry.

Danny's POV

I walk back downstairs with my heart so full. I can't believe that they both called me dad! I am so happy!

I have to call Roy(Bianca). *Ringing* "Pick up you bitch." I say quietly. "What do you want," Roy says sleepily. "Ok big news!" I can't contain myself. "What is it," Roy says annoyed. "Ok so the kids both called me "dad" like a few minutes ago and I am so happy!!!"

"I'm so happy for you Adore," he says more cheerfully. "Hey, when am I going to be able to meet these kids? You have talked non-stop about them and I'm dying to meet them."

"We are driving down to San Diego in about an hour. Are you in Palm Springs?" I hope she is because I would love for the kids to meet B.

"Yeah, I'm driving down to San Diego anyways. I have a gig there." EEEEEE YAYYYY! "Do you want to come to hang out with us later? Gottmik and Raja are going to be there too." I hope she says yes. "Yeah, I would love to come. I can only hang out for a little bit though."

"Ok! I will see you in a bit I have to get the kids in the car. We are about to leave." "Ok love you Adore I will see you in a bit," Bianca says. "Love you too. Bye"

I'm so happy that Bianca is coming. She is one of my best friends so I am happy that she is going.

About 20 minutes after I hang up I yell for the kids and then we get in the car and we are off to San Diego.

Ivy's POV

After 2 and a half hours of driving, we finally make it to San Diego. Kade and I slept most of it.

We park near Ocean Beach Pier and we walked to a nearby shop so Kade could get a swimsuit. "Ivy do you want or need anything while we are here?" Danny asked. "I like this swimsuit. Can I get it?" It was a black bikini with ruffle detail on it. "Ooo that is cute. Go try it on."

I went to the changing room and tried it on. It was so gorgeous. I liked it but I was self-conscious about my scars, my weight, and just everything. I walk out to show Danny to get his opinion.

"What do you think?" I ask hoping he likes it. "Oh my goodness. You look so amazing! you should get it." I'm really happy he liked it.  When he said liked it gave me a boost of confidence.

Kade's POV

I found a swimsuit that I liked. I went to try it on. After I tried it on there was a slight problem. I had forgotten that with my self-harm past that I had cut my stomach and thighs.

The swim trunks weren't long enough to cover the scars on my thighs. And I would probably have to wear a shirt in the water which I didn't want to but I couldn't have Danny find out about it.

My parents never cared if I was upset or even trying to kill myself so why would Danny care? He cared about Ivy because she was a girl. What if I tell him and he doesn't care?

Or he might get really angry? He will probably tell me the same thing my dad did, "to buck up and be a man." I heard that a lot growing up.

Suddenly all of the horrible memories came rushing at me. I start to cry silently. How could my father be such a monster that he "taught" me to grow up and take it like a man by hurting me?

My mind went dark. My brain went back to that night. How I couldn't move. How I was paralyzed with fear. The whole time he was telling me it was all my fault. How I was a slut and I was dirty now. I will never forget the hurt.

I had tried my best to scab over the feeling of that night but sometimes it would hurt worse. I could never let anyone find out about this. Especially Ivy.

My brain comes back to reality when I hear a knock on the door. "It's Danny. Can I come in?" Fuck. "Um, just a second." What do I do? I can't come out because he will see my scars but also because I have been crying. "Are you ok?" He seemed worried. "Yeah, I'm changing back into my clothes."

"Oh, ok. Are you not going to show me?" Fuck Fuck Fuck. "Oh yeah. Oops. lemme put it back on." If I just put a shirt on and keep my legs super close to each other I'll be fine.

"How does it look?" I ask trying to be confident. "It looks great on you." He looked concerned when he said this. "Can I get it?" I hoped he wouldn't ask any questions. "Yes, of course."

We paid for our stuff then we left.

When we got to the beach there were people there waiting for us. I recognized Gottmik because she is Ivy's favorite drag queen but I didn't know who the other two were. 

Danny's POV

"Hey, guys," I said to Gottmik, Raja, and Bianca. "Hey gorge," Mik said eagerly. "Guys this is Gottmik, Raja, and Bianca," I say to the kids. "Hi, I'm Ivy." She looked nervous but also super excited. "I'm Kade." He said smiling. "Omg I'm Kade too," Mik stated goofily. "Adore has told us so much about you guys. I'm so happy we finally meeting."

I looked over to Ivy and she looked like she was about to explode. She looked so happy. "You ok?" Gottmik said to Ivy with a concerned look. "Yeah, I'm ok just excited to meet you all."

"Awwwww, I'm excited to meet you too gorge."

After about an hour of sunbathing, we decided to get in the water. I couldn't help to notice that Kade was acting strange. He has been off all day and I wonder why.

I look over at Mik and Ivy and they are getting along so well it makes me so happy.

It started to get late so we decided to go to the hotel and get food. All of the girls were staying in San Diego for the weekend so we all were in the same hotel.

Gottmik and Ivy were in one room (At Ivy's request ofc). Kade, Raja, and I were in another. And Bianca booked her own room before I asked her to come with us so she got her own room.
