Chapter 8. Makeup

Ivy's POV

It had been almost a month since San Diego and we all took the time to reflect on what happened on that trip. Our bond with Danny had been growing, we had gone to some of his gigs and seen him perform as Adore. It was so cool to see and hear him sing and perform.

I had a really good relationship with Gottmik, he has been helping me so much with my gender situation. I still haven't told Danny just because I still don't know myself I don't want to tell him and then be wrong.

We are going to start having a private tutor named Mr. Mulligan, a week after Halloween so we don't have to go to school but also still get an education. I'm so happy Danny didn't make us go to school. Kade and I told him about our history with school so we decided to get a tutor.

It is October 27, and Halloween is in a few days. I'm super excited. I'm going as Sporty Spice from the spice girls. Kade is going as Posh Spice and Danny is going as Baby Spice.

*Knock Knock Knock* "Come in!" I say. Kade walks in. "Hey, do you wanna play the Xbox with me?" "Duh. What game though?" I question "How about Minecraft." YAY I loved that game "Ok."

We played Minecraft in Kade's room for about thirty minutes, then we switched to Hello Neighbor.

Danny comes up to Kade's room to tell us dinner is ready.

"I have a gig tonight if you guys wanna come," Danny said. "Ooooo. Of course." I said happily "Sure." Kade agreed. "Is it just you or?" I said curiously. "Um no, Gottmik and Vanjie and Kamron are going to be there too." I loved all of those queens and I was so excited to meet Vanjie and Kamron. "Who is Vanjie and Kamron," Kade asked. I giggled. "They are queens from Season 10 and 11." I replied "Oh ok."

We finished dinner and started to get ready for Danny's gig. I helped Adore and Kade pick out an outfit, then I went to my room to get ready. I always loved seeing Adore perform. She was so good at singing it was criminal.

Kade's POV

After Ivy had helped me pick out an outfit I decided it would be the perfect time to show her and Danny the makeup skills I had picked up.

I started to play with makeup before Danny adopted us. My father hated it but I didn't really care. I was living my true self when I had makeup on. Makeup made me happy. It also took my mind off of things.

I put on the sparkly top that Ivy gave me to wear. It was her top but I might end up stealing it. I hopped onto the sink counter in the bathroom and used the makeup I had. I didn't have much since I haven't talked to anyone about my interest in makeup.

I put on blue eyeshadow and some concealer. I found a silver eyeshadow glitter thing under the sink a few days ago when I went to look for some shampoo.

It had been about 20 minutes and I was ready.

Ivy's POV

20 minutes later I see Kade come down the stairs. It took me a second to realize he was wearing makeup. He looked super good. I could tell he had practiced before. He was wearing sparkly blue eyeshadow which matched his shirt perfectly. And some eyeliner which was a perfect wing.
"Ooooooo, You look so gorgeeeee!!" I said hyping him up. I could see was a little nervous. "Do you like it?" I looked over at him, "I LOVE IT!" He blushed.

I pulled out my phone and started to play Come Through by Priyanka. Lemon's part was about to play and I shouted to Kade, "Catwalk!" I got up with him and we danced and sang the song.

Right before the song had finished Adore came down. Kade saw her and stopped dancing and turned away. He stopped singing and I was very confused. I then remembered that he used to do this when our bio father came into the room.

I also remembered that he still wasn't out to Adore. I quickly walked over to him and told him, "It's ok, you can be yourself around him. He's not like dad." He nodded and turned back towards Adore.

"Hi, dad," Kade spoke shyly. "Hi. OMG, I just noticed your makeup. It looks so good on you!" I turned to Kade and saw how happy he looked. "Thank you. I hope it's ok with you that I wear makeup." Kade said "Oh sweety it's more than ok. If makeup makes you happy then that's ok with me. And also who am I to say it's not ok, I'm a drag queen after all." Kade rushed to Adore and hugged her tight. I ran over to both of them and joined the hug.

We stayed that until it was broken up by Adore saying, "Ok, LETS PARTY!"
