◇Fluff◇

Wukong sat down on the edge of the cliff, his tail softly swooping behind him as he stared up at the orange and blue-ish sky

Stars had stared to appear, making the sky look even more buetiful this night.
Soft shadowy clouds passed up above and it reminded the Sage about his summersault cloud.

"Have room for one more?" Wukongs ears twitched and he snapped around, his shoulder blades leveled as he was in a fighting stance. But once he realized who had spoken he seemed to untense, ease spilled over his face and he looked at Macaque for what felt like eneternity before the other snapped him back to reality.

"Eyes up here!" Wukong gave an akward smile and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeahh.." He simply said in a hushed tone. Macaque rolled his eyes and walked foward, "You never answered my original question though." Wukong nodded. "There's room for you." Macaque looked down to the floor and sat down on the same ledge Wukong had seconds before.

He patted the rocky floor beside him, indicating for Wukong to take a seat and not just stand there like an idiot.

Wukong sat down and made sure to keep some space between him and Macaque. Not knowing how Macaque might react to being so close, he wasn't going risk it..

The sky had turned even bluer and darker now, the stars shining In the sky made the darkness seem welcoming.

"Such a pretty night.." Macaque said. Breaking the somewhat comfortable silence between the two of them. Wukong looked over to Macaque. Seeing that the other was looking into the night sky with tired eyes, the gold dullness seemed to reflect every feature of the night sky.

The stars. Somewhat visible clouds.
The buetiful moon..

It was like staring into a pond that had no ripples in it.

"Do I have something on my face or what? You keep staring..." Wukong blinked and let out a small laugh, he never thought he'd hear Macaque be so self conscious about his own looks!
Now that was new.
"No no...it's just–" Just what..

What was he going to say.
That he was looking at those buetiful dull eyes just to look at the stars.

Or that he looked so handsome without when trying and Wukong couldn't rip his eyes off even if he wanted to try.

"The nights pretty." Macaque turned to look at Wukong. Arching an eyebrow in return, "You're looking at me. Not the sky you dingus." Wukong nodded as if he understood and meant what he said.
"The sky is up there..why stare at me?" Wukong's eyes fell back on Macaque's dull ones. He stared into them and felt his surroundings starting to space away. His mind rambled on about fantasies he wished to accomplish.

But Macaque wasn't that way.

Macaque didn't want him that way.

"Because um.." Macaque's ears fell down slightly as if he had finally calmed down and relaxed into Wukong's presence. His tail curled up near his own leg and rested there, giving soft pats to the floor here and there.

"Because you're just so–.. so.." Wukong didn't know how to put it into actual words. He never knew how to put feelings into words if we're being honest now.

But he didn't need to. Macaque seemed to know what Wukong wanted to say, by giving a soft smile and his face seemed to give this type of softness he once held decades ago.
It warmed Wukong so much he couldn't help but close his mouth and give a genuine smile.

"Your heartbeat says it all." Wukong could hear his running heart. It rung in his ears and he felt his face go slightly red as his smile closed his eyes ever so slightly.
Macaque scooted closer, the space between them was only mere inches now.

Wukong felt arms wrap around his shoulders pulling him flward in a quick but swift motion.

He was pulled into a tight hug. The arms were Macaque's and Wukong's head rested on Macaque's shoulder.
It was weird at first but soon they both melted into the warmth of each others body heat.

It destroyed the cold that had crept up to them, comepletly forgetting about there foregoing hatred.
Wukong wrapped his own arms below Macaque's waist and pulled themselves even closer, the sky glinted with stars.

As if the stars themselves were happy that these two were finally figuring out what it meant to have someone else there, even if that person hurt you so much to the point you couldn't stand back up..

Sometimes.

All you need is a hug.

A long..warm..calm hug. It's like a powerful medicine, you get enough and it feels like you can do anything.

That.
That's how Wukong felt.
How Macaque felt.

Warm.
As if they were healing together in some weird way..

There own way.
