Ayena

Part 12

"Ayena, Ayena....get ready fast we are already late." -Afaq was shouting for the nth time but there was no trace of her.

Finally after half and hour Ayena came out all decked up. Afaq was mesmerised by her look.

"So, what were you saying? I look like a clown! Will you  still say that?" Ayena smirked.

Afaq pulled her towards him -" No matter how you look. You are only mine. And today you look very beautiful Mrs. Ayena Afaq."

Ayena blushed and pushed him.

"Now let's go. We are late already." Ayena ran outside.

Afaq smiled and closed the door behind them.

Ayena sat behind the bike. Afaq kept stealing glances which made her blush.

Ayena had tears in her eyes when she saw that her best friends were married. She wished them a good life full of happiness.

"So today we have a singer in between us. I would want Afaq to sing for this beautiful occasion." Rizwan spoke over the mic.

Afaq smiled and nodded in affirmative..

As he was singing his eyes were fixed
on Ayena. Ayena couldn't stop smiling. Something was changing between them. Yes! They were falling in love.

Their trance was broken by the claps.

It was late night when the function ended. While coming back Ayena fell asleep holding Afaq's shoulder.

"Ayena we are back home. Get up." -Afaq called her softly.

"I am tired. I want to sleep."- She held Afaq more tightly.

Afaq laughed at her antics.

" Look there is a lizard on your dress." Afaq shouted.

"Nooo....Aahhhh...help me ..help me.." Ayena got up and started running.

Afaq started laughing -"Thank god you woke up. I was just joking. Go and change."

Ayena huffed and went to change.

By the time she came Afaq fell asleep on the bed. She smiled at him and remembered their moments together.

She slept on the other side of the bed and in no time sleep consumed her.

he college was closed for Christmas vacations for a week. Afaq would leave early in the morning and come back in the evening. He would make plans with his guy gang leaving behind Ayena alone. Though she had neighbours who were wives of her lecturers she wasn't much interested in mingling with them. Farsha and Rizwan had also gone for a trip. They insisted Ayena to join them but she didn't want to go leaving her husband behind. Wait! What was even going on in Ayena's mind now a days. She was behaving like a typical wife these days. She would get jealous when girls would oogle at Afaq for his looks at the college. She made sure to place her hands on his shoulders when she sat on the bike to show those girls that he was taken and only hers!
