Part 14

"How could he make my daughter cry?"- Saeed uncle was angry.

"Call him right away." Sara aunty said.

Saeed uncle called Afaq but his phone was not reachable.

Ayena was shedding tears. She didn't know what was hurting her more- the way Afaq behaved rudely with her or the expectations which she had from this so called marriage.

After crying for many hours she fell asleep.

Next day,

Ayena reached college by auto rickshaw. She missed Afaq a lot. She left him a text and called him too but there was no response. She knew he might have left for the seminar.

"Hey Ayena, where is Afaq? I have been trying his phone since yesterday." -Ali asked Ayena.

Ayena was shocked. Now she came to know that Afaq lied to her. Where was he?

"Actually he had gone to Hyderabad for some family issues. He had called me yesterday night and told me that his phone would be switched off because he would be very busy." -Ayena tried to seem true.

"Alright!" Ali smiled at her and left.

"What's wrong Ayena?"- Rizwan asked Ayena who wasn't eating anything and seemed lost.

Ayena's eyes filled with tears and in no time it trickled down her cheeks.

"Heyy, what happened? " Farsha asked softly.

Ayena hugged her and told her everything that happened between her and Afaq.

"What do I do? I cannot live like this." Ayena mumbled.

"Do you love him?" Rizwan asked.

Ayena was shocked at this question.

"Tell me Ayena, do you love him?" Rizwan asked again.

"I don't know." - Ayena placed her palms on her face and started sobbing.

Farsha and Rizwan felt bad seeing Ayena like this.

"Look Ayena, I would just say give some time to him. There is something very big which isn't allowing him to come closer to you. He loves you and anyone can say that by seeing the way he cares for you. And I am sure you also have feelings for him but you are not in a stage to accept it right now. See whether if there is any way you can find out about his secret."

Ayena's mind remembered about his diary. She got up immediately ," I need to go home now."

Before Farsha and Rizwan could ask her anything she left.
