Chapter 15 - Disappearance

And we are back once again.

Let's not waste time as we have a new Villain to learn about.

It was the next day in the not destroyed Gamindustri and Neptune just woke up to go about her regular routine of eating pudding and playing games.

She would proceed to do this for the next couple of hours until she needs to sleep.

She was playing Sonic Generations because why the fuck not.

Neptune continued to play her game for the next while, she hummed to the tunes of some of the levels, having a great time.

After about two or three hours, IF and Compa stepped into the room and sat down with the girl.

"Hey Nep." IF greeted her.

"We thought we'd come visit early." Compa explained why they were here well before the usual time.

"Oh hey girls! Good to see ya." Neptune greeted as she paused her game to turn around.
She was kind of glad they interrupted her, because as she was fighting Metal Sonic as Classic Sonic, she had this odd feeling that something bad was happening or was about to happen.

And it only happened when she started that battle.

Anyway, brushing that off, she got talking with the girls.

Linda was on her day off and she was on her way to see Connor. She stayed at IF's place last night since it was closer.

Anyway. She eventually got to his house and knocked on the door.

.
No answer.

She knocked again. Same result.

She heard Penny scratching at the door so the dog was home.

Linda reached into her bag and grabbed the spare key he gave her. He told her if he's ever not home when she visits then she can go in to keep Penny company.

She stepped in and Penny immediately greeted her. Although Penny did seem worried about something.

"Connor. You home? Or did he spend all night at Neptune's place?"

She walked into the living room.

"Weird. He's usually here."

She then proceeded to check every inch of the house and there was not a single sign of her man.

"Huh. Guess he did another all nighter with Neptune. Oh well." She shrugged.

She looked to Penny who was following her.

"Why don't we go for a walk Penny? We can go find Connor." She said.

That was all Penny needed to hear.

"So we found what we assume to be her base. Only it was barren. Empty." IF said.

She was explaining what happened yesterday at work.

See, after that whole thing of Arfoire trying to kill Connor, she and a number of other strong guild members went out to find the woman's base of operations.
They found said base in a forest thanks to Linda's help, which confused them as to why they never asked her in the first place.

Anyway, potholes aside, they searched the entire underground base to find no one was there.

"That's weird. Why would she have run? And more importantly, where to?" Nepgear asked who had barely woken up.

That's when suddenly a familiar dog jumped up onto the sofa beside her.

"Penny?" Nepgear was surprised a little by her sudden appearance, but she ultimately accepted it anyway as the doggo was too cute to question.
