Chapter 25 - A Rei Of Light

It's been a full two months now since the whole Heartless Purple thing and life has indeed gone to normal now.

Arfoire is back to her usual scheme every now and again, but that's normal here.

Plutia showed up again after seemingly disappearing somewhere. No one really knows what she does when she vanishes like that and no one intends to find out.

She visits Connor frequently, even sometimes staying the night.

Oh and another thing that happened which is actually happening right now is Rei coming clean about her feelings.

Here he stands, in Rei's office, staring at the woman who has definitely been growing on him over the last while. And she just told him she likes him.

"..... I...." He can't even think of what to say.

What does he actually say at all? Sure IF, Compa and Linda brought up this idea of 'having a fourth girl' but he thought they were joking.

Sure he has gotten used to this polygamy things, but still.
It's a tad weird for him still and that's never going to change.

"I, uh.... I talked with IF, Compa and Linda... They said that as long as you were ok with it and you weren't pushed into this, it would be ok for me to join in.... I uh... can't let them hog you forever, can I? Haha." Rei laughed nervously.

She was beyond terrified here. She would understand if he rejected her, but that still hurt her.

Truth is Connor has been growing to like her, but he again, he isn't completely indifferent to this world's customs. He never will be.

"And you're-"

Before he could speak, his phone went off. He checked to see a message from IF.

"Yes we are sure. As long as you're sure, go ahead."

"..... Huh.... Ok. Then I suppose I need to give me own answer."

Connor took a second to think of what to say.
He does enjoy being around Rei. She's fun, cute, beautiful and all he can think of. She's exactly what the other three are.

"Right... Suppose I have sort of... ya know...." He trailed off. He was very bad at this.

Rei smiled and moved close. She wanted to mess with him.

"You sort of what? Come on Connor, be honest with me."

He looked away from her.

"Suppose I do like ya." He said quietly.

"Sorry, what was that?" She asked with a teasing smile.

".... You're fuckin me with me."

"I am. I heard you clearly... I'm glad to hear that Connor."

What both of them weren't aware of was the other three outside the door waiting for them.

"Are they done yet?" Linda asked, leaning on the wall.

"I think. Here's hoping we can make him happy." IF said with a shrug.

She stood up and was about to walk in when Compa was way ahead of her.
She practically ran through the door, knocking it off its hinges, and immediately tackled the two already in the room.
