Chapter 16 - Tides Turning

Guess who the fuck is back again.

Let's get it started.

Connor stood leaning against the wall of a random busted up building.

He was waiting for his cue to simply turn the corner and shoot the BFG. (To clarify, it's like the BFG from DOOM, just not as powerful.)

The whole time he waited, he was worrying a little.

The plan was simple. Uni, Rom and Nepgear would grab it's attention and lure it towards him so he could do the thing.
Problem was, Furnace was smart, so he would know something is up if they just get him to chase them.
So they're going to make it like they're fighting him and then retreating so he'll chase them and then he'll surprise the fucker.

Connor has to just pray they don't get hurt.

He sat in silence, waiting for something to happen.

Looking around he can see Leanbox in the distance, barely, but he can see it.

He stared in that direction for no particular reason.

That's when he saw it.
The only real thing he could see in Leanbox was smoke and fire that never seemed to die.

Through the smoke he could barely make out an outline of something huge. Something. Massive.

Looking a little closer, he noticed the shape of the thing. It looked sort of familiar to him.

"Don't fuckin tell me..." He said in shock at what it could be.

For a minute, he saw the smoke clearing for some reason, which didn't make sense to him as that's not how smoke works. It doesn't just say "ight, imma head out." Especially when the fire is still there.

When it did clear, his suspicions were confirmed.

"How the actual fuck do ya kill that bastard?"

This thing was scarily big, it looked like a spider and a scorpion mixed together. The face was just so unnatural and unnerving. The entire thing was red.

Connor knew this too well as it was a pretty entertaining horror story for him to look at and listen to.

He never wanted it to exist though. And this thing was now in his vision. In real life.... And it was looking back at him with that face that told him it did not want him alive.

"... I can kill it." Connor stated. "Ya hear that ya big red cunt? I'll break year fuckin jaw. Just your fuckin wait." He said while looking it dead in the eyes.

He could in no way hear it from this distance, but in his head he could hear something that definitely wasn't him, laughing.

Then he heard it speak.

"You wouldn't stand a chance. I will end you in seconds."

"Do it ya cowardly cunt." Connor shot back, narrowing his eyes at it.

It laughed again. Then it was suddenly gone as the smoke returned.

"....... Right so how the fuck do I actually kill that?"

Before he could think more, he heard a voice shout.

"Connor! Get ready! It's coming!"

He looked up to the top of a building and saw Uni.

"Right."

He looked around the corner to see Furnace chasing after both Nepgear and Rom.

They were a decent but ahead of him and as they passed Connor, he moved out in front of Furnace.
