Chapter 19 - Improvisation

Here we go once again with this nightmare.

Let's get it started.

Uni and Connor followed Kei.

They were both sighing in annoyance that they forgot the one thing they needed for this mission.

"You know what would be funny? If we blew up the core with the self destruct code. Hehehehe!"

They both stopped and looked to Kei.

"The what?" Uni asked.

She stopped and looked to them.

"The self destruct code. Only the ones who know about them are the Oracle's. Why do you think a new one is selected only when the last one dies?"

Connor and Uni looked at each other.

Maybe they still have a chance to salvage this.

"What would the explosion do?" Uni asked.

"Only blow up the *hic* whole fuckin nation." Kei answered with a hiccup in between.

Both Uni and Connor looked at each other.

"Wait, so how long will we have to run?" Connor asked.

"I dunno. Probably about three minutes. Think you can *hic* get to Leanbox in that time?" Kei asked, sounding a bit sarcastic.

"I don't think we want to go to Leanbox. Fuck that place for the moment." Connor shot back at her.

He looked out a window to see Leanbox in the distance, that big red freak staring back at him.

Connor went over to the window.

"Fuck are ya starin at ya cunt! When we're finished here, you're next!" He shouted.

This thing was living in his head rent free for the last while and it has only been pissing him off.

"Most are scared of me... You still challenge me. Your CPU friends but I'll die trying to stop me." Red was gloating.

Connor was aware he had no chance of stepping up to that thing, but if he doesn't show what it wants him to show, fear, then Connor has one.

For whatever reason, it has targeted him. Probably because Connor dared to call his strength and power a bluff.

He also loves that since this thing has made some sort of mental connection to him, he can feel Red growing angry that Connor isn't scared of it.

"Nah, we'll kill ya in seconds. Ya won't fuckin touch me dickhead!"

"You are only breathing because I am stuck here, because I have not learned how to use my abilities yet. That will soon change and she will be proven wrong to trap me here."

"Aww. Was mammy disappointed in ya so she abandoned ya?" Connor asked mockingly, referring to Heartless Purple who he still hasn't seen yet.

Red just glared at Connor before he seemed to hide behind the high flames of Leanbox.

Connor turned to Uni and Kei.

"I think I pissed him off lads."

"Why would you even do that? You know he can kill you, right?" Uni asked.

"Yeah. More than likely, but if he does then what's the point? He likes to make his victims feel scared and hopeless before killin them. I'm not scared of that funny lookin cunt. And he knows that, so he won't kill me yet even if he gets here." Connor told her.
