I woke up suddenly, sweat pouring off my face. I'd just woken up from a nightmare, that I was trapped in a cage  unable to break free. My dad and Alice were outside of it with the key, able to let me out, but they chose not to so threw away the key. Then I was tumbling down an endless hole just like Alice In Wonderland, but I'd fortunately woken up before things could escalate. It had been a week since Alice had broken up with me, I still didn't understand why, I hadn't even bothered to call or talk to her. Our trailers were so close to one another yet we hadn't even bumped into each other. I checked the clock, it was 11:am, of course there was no school since it was summer, so I could do whatever I wanted. I climbed out of bed, pulling my trousers on and feeling a butterfly sensation in my stomach- hunger. I'd been craving a Pop's burger for a while, but hadn't plucked up the courage to go. I trudged into the living room, where my dad lay on the couch, hungover from the previous night, beer in his hand. Ever since he'd been shot and my mom came back, I figured he'd changed, but I was wrong. As soon as his wound healed he started drinking again, getting angry and worst of all, pressuring me to join the Serpents. I'd said no so many times, even so now because it would mean I'd have to see Alice every day, but that wasn't me. I didnt want to be In a gang, certainly not one that were associated with drugs and murder, I wanted to be someone else, a jock baseball player who had all the ladies lined up for him. That's who I was at the end of the day, I didn't want to change it. I tipped some cereal into a bowl and ate it, chugging down a carton of orange juice at the same time. I then got ready and left my trailer, breathing in the summer breeze that was cool but yet so warm. I glanced over at Marie's trailer, where a couple of officers remained outside, but the hubbub of the crowd of reporters had gone, leaving a cold desolate space outside her trailer. I started walking towards the other side of the trailer park but I was startled by a hand tap my shoulder. I jumped, turning around. It was Gladys, looking worried. What was she doing coming up to me? She was a cool Serpent way out of my league and I'm pretty sure she hated my guts "Hey FP" She said, her cheeks flowing pink "Hey?" I said confused, she bit her lip "I was wondering if maybe Alice visited Penny in jail?" She asked, I sighed "Yeah, she did, apparently she really misses you" She looked up at me a smile appearing on her face "She said that?" I nodded, starting to slowly walk away from her "Hey! Wait!" She called, I stopped, turning back around "I was also wondering if you could maybe pass on a message to Alice? Tell her I'm sorry for being a bitch to her and maybe we can start over? The same applies to you, I'm sorry" I sighed "Apology accepted from me but I'm not with Alice anymore, she broke up with me" Her eyes grew big "Oh I'm so sorry I didn't know, you must been going through a rough time, if you need anything-" "I'm fine" I said, brushing her arm that was on my back away. Maybe that was a mistake, she looked hurt "Oh, I'm sorry, for that I-" "It's okay, I get it, break ups are hard" She shrugged, I smiled. We stood there in awkward silence for a moment, not sure what to say "Did you hear the news?" She eventually asked, her voice shaking. I raised an eyebrow "What news?" She fumbled around in her pocket and gave me a crumpled up newspaper that I unfolded and looked at "It happened last night, it's awful" The newspaper read:

'The Cameron Murders'

A family in Greendale were murdered in their own home last night, The Cameron family were supposibly eating dinner when a 'masked murderer' described by neighbour Dorine Boris broke into their home, slaughtering Elizabeth and Jonathan Cameron alongside their three children Celeste, 21, Jane, 19 their youngest Max, 17 and the children's grandma, Ophelia Cameron. There is no leads on why anybody would want to do this yet but people are speculating whether or not this was connected to Janet Aferton's murder, a 16 year old teen who was murdered in Riverdale just over a week ago. People are also saying these could possibly be connected to the murders of the other masked murderer who killed 2 teens and a man earlier this year. The Camerons also lost their oldest adopted son, Tony, who was captured and murdered in Greendale earlier this year....

I slammed the newspaper shut, handing it back to Gladys.  The Angel Of Death had struck again, this time they'd killed an entire family, taking the lives of the innocent and not just sinners. I clapped a hand over my mouth, my heart beating fast. There was only one thing I could do to try and figure out who this person was. I needed to talk to the closest person to the event, but I couldn't do it alone. I turned around and walked away from Gladys to the other side of the trailer park, leaving her to call after me.
