Now of all times, he really had to show up now! This was my chance, I refuse to pass it up now. The answers to my existence are in reach. No, not now. I snapped my eyes open. The demons temporary injuries were keeping its mind occupied along with its fears.
It's appearance was conventionally disgusting. Pale skin, completely blue eyes without pupils and no hair. It wore a dismantled kimono. The sight was honestly pathetic.
I turned my head to genya. He was completely different. He was frothing at the mouth and his eyes were bloodshot. He was almost like a demon. "GET AWAY FROM IT. ITS MY KILL" genya screamed as if he was on a rampage. He tore through the tree like it was paper.
He stormed into the makeshift areana. He began to walk to the demon. "Hey genya I don't know it's blood demon art yet, don't get to close" I lied. I need the demon to recover even an inch more. It needs to fight.
"THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ITS MY CHANCES TO END THIS" he roared at me. He then turned back. Genya quickly began sprinting to the demon but suddenly,he simply stopped moving. He began to rapidly swing his head side to side .
I wonder what illusion was put on him. The demon viciously got up with a bellowing laugh as it carved a gash in his chest. Genya violently gripped his stomach as he backed off. A bit more. He received a brutal kick to the face that sent him skidding across the ground. He slammed into the log behind as he grunted in agony. He began to viciously writhe on the ground.
I had just found something interesting. His wound began to heal. Like a demon. This was useful. Unfortunately this wasn't the time to ponder his strange abilities. I needed him out of the fight now. The demon began to stroll over to him whilst whistling.
"How pitiful, dismantled in a couple of strikes" it chuckled to its self as it got ready to slam its fist into his face. Dammit it just gave away its location. It was blatantly obvious he had never fought a demon slayer before which was really showing. The moment it began to feel safe it became careless. I was going to have to step in.
Genyas eyes widened he had picked up on its position. He pointed his gun straight at the demon. Again the demon laughed most likely under the impression that the gun couldn't end his existence.
Should I let this happen was the biggest question plaguing my mind. It was more than likely that the bullets were built from the same materials as the nichirin sword so it was more than possible that it could kill it. On the other hand it would allow me a chance to knock him out during the chaos.
I focused on where the barrels were pointed. They were more aimed for its upper chest. It would survive then it would give me my answers. I stood and watched the scene play out. The sound rung throughout the forest. Two gigantic holes opened in the demons chest. It's scream also followed. It quickly sprinted away. Now it was my turn. I silently made my way to him.
A smirk graced his face as he slowly got up. His wounds were no longer there. Remarkable. Even with his enhanced senses it was useless against me. I was to his right. I brought up the handle of my sword. I needed to hit a specific part of his head or this wouldn't work at all. I aimed towards the back of his head then brought it down. The sound of his cracking skull was audible throughout the clearing.
The demons eyes widened as it leaned on a log. Once his body hit the ground I began to walk slowly to the demon. It had a mixture of fear and confusion. It didn't matter what it felt as long I had my answers.
Once I got in reaching distance it posed a question. "Why did you save me"? It's voice trembled as it looked at its believed saviour. It was honestly laughable. It would've been lucky if genya had killed him back there. I raised my blade to its neck again. Finally I could find him.
" my reason isn't important for you but I want some information that I didn't get earlier. I assume I still have your cooperation" I half asked as it quickly nodded.
"Tell me every piece of information you have on uppermoon one: kokushibo. I'll know if your lying so don't try it or you'll suffer a slow and painful death" I said without any emotion. It simply wasn't needed. The demon wasn't apart of the twelve like I had hoped but it had to know something.
" I don't know much. But I've heard things. He's said to be so strong that 'he' views him as a business partner more than his subordinate". That was abit useful but I needed more. I removed my blade from its neck. It's face showed relief for a split second before the arms it had suddenly fell to the floor. It's face distorted in agony. "The hell" it screamed at me as it fell to its knees. I readjusted my blade to its throat.
"Who is he"? I questioned.
"I CANT TELL YOU" it roared at me. It seemed the demon king had a tight leash around its slaves. Quite fitting.
"Why"
"HE'LL KILL ME WITHOUT HESITATION". I wonder if it could kill his subjects remotely. How interesting.
"Tell me what uppermoon one or 'he' looks like then" I compromised.
"I CANT TELL YOU LEAVE ME ALONE" it stupidly rushed forward in an attempt to slam into my stomach. In one swift slice I ended it's sad existence. I didn't bother to look at it's burning corpse.
I picked up genya and began to walk out of the clearing.
A/N: hello there. I hope that little battle was enjoyable. I apologise for any grammatical errors. I didn't find as many mistakes and that worry's me.
Anyways from now im going to be making long chapters. From here I have no clue where to take this story but there are options.
