GENYA POV:

I stormed out of the ramen store. I needed to find this demon now. If I didn't then... why would he ever see value in talking to me again. I paraded the streets to find a trace of anyone but they were all hiding in there homes.

I woke up in my temporary room. I slowly got up and began pacing around . I needed to find this stupid demon before he does. But how? I kept pacing around trying to figure something out. How would Sanemi find its locations?

An idea popped into my head after sometime contemplating. A physical trace would be perfect. At the very least it would take out two birds with one stone.  I quickly left the decaying room and went onto the streets. Everything looked the same as yesterday. There were a couple more people but that was only natural. Today was going to be exhausting.

I began to trace the edges of the unpaved road. I picked up different hairs I could find or different finger nails. It was disgusting but this was the only trick I have left. The locals gave me weird looks despite me trying to help them. After five minutes or so the towns people began simply staying clear of me and not interacting with me.

The next step was to... eat each  "accessory" I had. Well I can't blame anyone except myself. If I was just a bit more talented I couldve learnt a breathing style myself. I sat in the corner of an alleyway. It was gross. The walls were covered with maggots and worms moved across the ground. I simply sighed as I ate my first strand of hair...

I had eaten twenty six so far. I only had roughly ten more to go until... The finger nails. "this is stupid" I shouted at no one. In a moment of frustration I shoved the next one in my mouth. It wrapped around my tooth before it traveled down my throat. I felt a tightness throughout my entire body. FINALLY IVE FOUND SOMETHING. I fell to my knees for a second. I was still getting used to doing this. I slowly got back to my feet and left the ally way. The next step was to find a solid trail of these hairs. I began looking for the same type of  hair which was exceedingly difficult. Eventually I stumbled upon a faint trail.

I followed it until I arrived in the poorer area of the village. I honestly felt bad for the kids that sat in pools of mud. It was an insult to call there homes houses. They were decaying rapidly. I had to ignore them if I wanted to find the demon. That's something a hashira would have to do. I have to stay focused. He could so I have to. I sighed again as it was the only way to let out my fuatrations. I kept following as I heard the crying around me.

I kept walking as my steps kept feeling heavier. Eventually I was led into another shack where the trail stopped. It was considerably smaller than the rest. I pushed open the door. It immediately fell and then collapsed. JUST PERFECT. Stealth wasn't my strong suit any ways.

I stomped in. Cobwebs got stuck to my face. It was filthy. There was only one room with a corridor leading to it. The hallway had multiple holes in it's walls. With one glance I noticed at least six tarantulas nesting. It's a fitting place for a demon to live and die. I kicked down the second door. A Cloud of dust covered my vision, I instinctively coughed and stepped back.

This was quickly becoming more of a nuisance. I pulled my sword out and stepped through. I instantly stopped. A kid? The hells a kid doing here? "Hey what are you doing he..." I froze in the middle of my sentence as I sore the mutalated corps of his mother. I felt my heart go cold. Me. Then. Like. It was like then. My brother.... Over my mother. BlOod. My breathing became slightly haggard. I held my head as a pain overwhelmed it.

The kid was wailing. "Mom, mom, get up. Please" he screamed. I gulped as I slowly walked over to him. Sanemi wouldn't flinch at something like this, I can't either.

"What happened here" I spoke without as much emotion as possible. The kid jumped. He quickly dragged his moms corpse into the corner. He reminded me of my brother. Strong. Even now. He looked straight through me. His black hair was completely tangled and his clothes were rags. Those red eyes looked ready to kill.

I sat down and stared at him. I slowed my breathing and relaxed. "You okay" I began.

"LEAVE" he screeched. Another tear fell down his face. I needed to calm him down despite how unrealistic that is.

"What's your name" I said softly. This was unusual for me but I empathised. I owe it to them to help. The kid kept shaking and crying whilst staring straight at me.

"G-g-Gojo" he finally spat out. I peaked out of one of cracks in the wall. The sky was darker now. I guess I got lost in my search.

"Is she alive" I continued. If she atleast had a pulse I could take her to a hospital. He simply shook his head. I grunted. I felt guilt wash over me. The demon most likely feasted on her but left when it realised the sun was coming up and left her there. I only had a couple of ideas but maybe... I could take him to butterfly mansion until he can get back on his feet, I had to at least do something. As I agonised over a solution the kid fell on to his knees. His cry's filling the room.

I walked over to him and picked him up. He didn't tried to resist. I piggy-backed him out of the house and away from his dead mother. This was completely stupid. I shouldn't be doing this but I... just had to.

The sky was pitch black now. It was quite cloudy to be honest. I just kept walking. Without warning the ground shook. I nearly lost my balance. "The he.." I stopped. I sore gigantic trees topple over in the distance. What was going on?

A/N: hi there hoped you at-least somewhat enjoyed the chapter despite its problems.

I found writing from genyas pov extremely difficult. I still don't think I understand his charectar. He's extremely mean towards the beginning of the franchise. Im not sure if it was because he was a jerk or trying to imitate his brother attitude. As you can tell I went with a kinder interpretation of him in this fic.

I did find writing how he would discover a demons location fun since it was more unique than most hunters methods.

The next chapter is more about fighting than anything else. Hopefully I can have it finished soon.
