A/N: WARNING: I'm making some significant changes to this arc so expect the unexpected.
I'm quite lucky. To tell the truth my breathing rate was still similar to an average persons without an ounce of exercise. Even when sprinting through this forest.
As I ran toward the next largest commotion I resolved to breath through my mouth. I didn't exactly appreciate the smell of rotten corpse's. On that note I was watching my step in order to stop my self from slipping in one of the pools of blood next to the decaying flesh. Most would've vomited but this wasn't the worst I'd seen.
Before I could think much longer I stopped in front of an extremely strange sight. "Nesuko"! That was the first thing I heard shouted across the battlefield. I took a glance around. A hanging demon. A quite distraught slayer. And finally something I could only describe as a demonic child.
He was weaving thread in his hands whilst glaring at his opponent. What should..
My thoughts stopped. It was there. Engraved into his eye. The symbol of the lower moon five. Good. But the only thing in my way was the now charging demon slayer. I waited and watched the sight unfold. Examining the scene so far it appeared that the demon had the complete upper hand. I just needed to wait for it to win. It didn't really matter if the boy died in the process. As long as I win in the end.
It wasn't as one sided as I first thought it would be. Using constant flux the boy had began cutting through a fleet of the demons threads. Still the demon wasn't panicked. Shocked but not scared in the slightest. More.. he had something more up his sleeve.
Then it's threads became a blood red colour. This was over. The slayers eyes widened and fear laced them. His obvious pain overshadowed by his inevitable death. Unfortunate. A coffin of web surrounded him. I looked away for a split second.
"HINOKAMI KAGURA" my eyes snapped back to the blazing arena. The threads were being burnt to ashes and the owner of the voice was also slashing through them. That wasn't what made me freeze. It was how he was doing it. He..sun..tsugikuni.. hanafuda..Yoriichi. My hearts pace increased ever so slightly. It wasn't physically possible. How didn't they know about this. They could've but why didn't they ever say anything about it. There obsession with surpassing Yoriichi made it hard to believe they didn't know he had passed his techniques on.
He couldn't die. Not yet, I needed him or at least he can help me understand. The dance was almost as impressive as described. The boost it gave to him was remarkable. It put him at a close to lower moon level.
And then the demons head flew off of his body. But it had done that itself using its thread before the sword could do it. With a large thud the sun breather fell to the floor. With that it was my turn. I appeared in-front of the demon. I didn't allow them the time to process anything. I slammed my hand onto the back of the boys head.
I proceeded to turn back around. By the time my existence was registered by its eyes it felt like I had been standing there for minutes. But it didn't feel unusual. Being extremely quick has its down sides. It stumbled backwards as it held its head. "Who are you" it hastily questioned as it tried to regain its long gone composure. I stood still.
"No one you have to worry about if you give me the answers I want quickly enough. I'm even in a good mood so I'll let you go if you do so" I wasn't actually lying to be fair. I needed a pawn in Muzans operations and a member of the twelve would be ideal.
"Leave me alone" it screeched at me as it flung a flurry of thread at me. Before it was a centimetre away from his fingers I destroyed it. It's eyes followed the individual lines of thread as it floated to the ground in front of him.
"This'll be easier if you just stop now" I spoke nonchalantly. It looked at me with a concrete amount of resistance. It pulled its arm back. Then it's arm was gone. A puddle of flesh and blood. It shook.
"What do you want" it stuttered and Shouted at me. I placed my sword into the ground and shrugged.
"Your quite pathetic aren't you.. oh well maybe I don't need your answers anyway" my hand began reaching towards my nichirin.
"God dammit just ask me your questions" it began to turn into a pleading mess. It adequately learned its powerless state. After nearly being killed by something weaker than it and now not even being be able to throw an attack it's pride was diminished and it's desire to survive over took it.
"Ok fine, all I need is the information you know about uppermoon one". It looked at me as if dazed then his mouth parted.
"I don't know anything! He hasn't told me a single thing about him"! It began to screech and tear into its skin. It was impressive how intelligent it was. It realised that I had no use for it. Before it's visual processing abilities could adapt i sawed its head from its body.
It thudded to the floor with a trail of blood between its head and neck. It slowly began to disintegrate as if the sun had touched it. I wanted to keep it around to test some of my theory's of Muzan.Kibutsuji unlike many had allowed him to group up with other demons and have a family. Either because he had a soft spot for him or to completely gain his loyalty.
But I couldn't afford to. A pair of golden eyes stared at me through the darkness. It allowed the navy blue stripes around his head to appear slightly.Akaza.
