As I sat in the backseat, I just went through my Instagram. Chris was in the car with Rik. I saw him keep looking back as if he wanted to say something. I didn't feel like talking really. I just wanted to find my real mother and see why she did what she did. Rika looked back at me and I know it was about to be a entire conversation with her.
"Bro are you ok? I see that look on your face. I don't like it." Rika said as she looked back at him.
"I'm fine Rik. I just need time to deal with this. And I still want to find my mom."
"For what? You know your mom? That's our mom. But I can say I guess I get that too."
"Rik I know who raised me. Not who birthed me. That's a damn big difference. Can you stop at this place right here. I want to get a drink."
"Sure I can."
Rika parked and they all got out the car. They walked in. Quincy love Starbucks. They walked to the counter and started placing their order.
"Welcome to Starbucks. Hey can I help you?" The girl said to Quincy.
"Yes can I get a Venti Ice White Mocka with vanilla sweet cold foam and extra Carmel drizzle please." Quincy said with a smirk on his face.
"Yes sir. Would that be all?"
"Whatever they are having. You can add it to my bill."
"We will just get whatever it is he got." Rika said to the cashier.
"Ok I have that for you. Will that be all for you today sir?" She asked him with a smile.
"That will be all." Quincy said as he pulled out his credit card to pay.
Digging in his wallet he saw a picture of his mom and dad holding him. This was his favorite picture. He just stared at the picture. He forgot all about giving the card to the cashier.
"That will be $28.09 sir." She said to him trying to get his attention.
"Q the lady talking to you."
"Oh I'm sorry. How much is it?" Quincy said shaking his head out of this thoughts as he slid the picture back in its place.
"$28.09 sir. That's debit or credit?"
"It's credit." He said putting the card in the machine to pay for it.
"Thank you. Can I get you to sign the top copy for me. The bottom one is yours."
Quincy didn't really look at the cashier good until he signed the receipt. He looked her in her eyes hard. Something familiar about her struck his attention.
"Here you go. Can I asked your name?" Quincy asked her.
"Oh sorry. My hair was covering my name tag. My name is Shantel."
