As we pulled up in my parents yard, I got angry all over again. I couldn't believe that my father and mother did this to Quincy. To our family. This family have hid so many secrets it don't make any sense. Chris cut the car off and looked at me and Quincy.
"Look. I think y'all should take this thing slow. I don't think y'all should just rush in and start at it. Ease this up on them. Give them a chance to explain their side of the story." Chris said trying to keep everyone calm.
"And why should I huh? They lied to us. Not only did they lie but put this family through hell. I don't think they deserve nothing but what they gave out and that's hell." Rika said crossing her arms over her chest.
"Is this what you feel Q?" Chris asked him looking back at him from the front seat.
Quincy just sat there looking out the window not saying a word. He was truly hurt. All kind of emotions came from him at this point. The woman whom he has known all his life as his mother is not his biological mother. His dad lied about his life.
And now he don't know how to feel about his Dad being the cause of him not knowing his mother and sister on top of his mom keeping him from his biological mother. It's all just too much for him.
Chris knew this was hard for them. He didn't want to push the issue but he didn't want them to go in half cocked and make matters worse for themselves either. As much as Chris didn't care for their dad, he still loved them and Diann.
"Baby I really need y'all to think about this before you go in with a uproar. You both are hurt and in your feelings. Just take a moment and think this through is all I'm asking." Chris said trying to still reason with them.
"Chris now is not the time for you to be trying to play the psychology mode. We have to deal with this and right now is the best time to do this." Rik said back to Chris as she looked at him in the eyes.
"That's how you feel. But to be honest, this is totally up to Q. This is HIS situation. Yes you are his sister, but this is not about you. It's about Quincy and his mom. I feel you should just step back and let Quincy do this how he see fit." Chris said as she grabbed Rikas hand.
Rik didn't like that. She snatched her hand from Chris and gave him the eye.
"What the hell do you mean? This is my brother and my parents too. I have a say." Rik said raising her voice a little.
"Rik I didn't say you didn't have a say. I said this was Q call. He is the one that has all say to this. This is his mother. Not yours. Now you do have some say just not the way he does." Chris said taking a deep breath.
"Enough! I got this. This is my situation Rik. Let me handle this. After I say what I got to say, you can have at it with mom and dad. But not until I do. Got it?" Quincy said cutting off the argument that was brewing between them.
"Fine! But I am speaking my mind too." Rik said as a matter of fact.
"Trust me. After I say what I need, I don't care what you say." Quincy said opening the door to get out.
Chris and Rika opened their doors and got out behind Quincy. They walked to the door and opened it. As they walked in their parents was sitting in the day room talking. As they approached them they got quiet. Albert stood up and looked at them.
"Where the hell have y'all been?" He said not even giving no one time to say a word.
"Albert what did I just tell you? Don't go at those kids harsh. You caused this so let them deal with it how they can." Diann said.
"Really mom? You really gonna sit there like it was all Dads fault?" Rik blurted out.
"Rik chill. I told you outside I was gonna handle this first before you say anything. Please respect my wishes." Quincy said as he turned to Rika and expressed his feelings.
"Fine. But you taking too long for me. I got shit to get off my chest." Rika said angrily.
"You better watch your mouth in my house young lady." Diann said.
"Why should I huh? Y'all don't respect me and Q." Rika snapped back.
"Babe I really think you need to chill alright." Chris said trying to calm her down.
"Stay out of this Chris. You don't have nothing to do with this. This is between MY family and me."
"You're my family too. So I have all the right to have something to say about this. You are out of line. Chill out." Chris said again getting loud.
"Bruh I got this. Rik chill. I ain't gonna ask you again. Or I'm gonna ask you to leave." Quincy said to her.
"Ask me to leave? Really? How you gonna do me like that?" Rika asked shocked.
"That's what I said. Let me handle this. This is about me." Quincy said to Rik.
"Fine. Hurry up. If you keep waisting time I'm gonna go in." Rika said back to him.
"What are y'all talking about? What's going on here?" Diann asked as she put her hands on her hips.
"You really want to know huh? Well let's start with you lying to me all my life about my mom. You and Dad kept her from me. I have a sister and all. And to think I trusted y'all." Quincy spilled as tears ran down his face.
"What are you talking about? We didn't keep you from your mother. She didn't want no parts of you. We gave her every opportunity to be apart of your life." Diann said back.
"Bullshit we seen the papers. Stop lying to Q and tell him the truth." Rika blurted in.
"I said watch your mouth in my house young lady. And you stay out of this." Diann said turning to face Rik.
"I don't have to do a damn thing. Both of y'all are liars and I hate you!" Rika yells as tears came down her face.
Diann walked over and slapped her in the face.
"I said WATCH YOUR TONE AND MOUTH!" Diann said breathing hard.
"Enough! I have had it with the both of you. Get out my house right now!" Albert yelled.
Everyone looked at him in shock and a disgusted look.
"What did you say to me?" Quincy asked him.
"You heard me. Get out!!" Albert said.
"With pleasure. You fake anyway." Quincy said walking out the door and slamming it.
