Chapter 11: The First Battle

War. A concept that is all too familiar to him. He spent his entire life fighting in wars. Well his previous life to be precise.

When he walked out of the Imperial Residence that had been chosen for his parents he immediately felt it the killing intent of an army. He could tell it was not as large as one would expect but it could easily slaughter your average army despite having half the numbers. This army consisted of only Void Knights. He also realised that he needed a failsafe. Yes he was strong and could annihilate this army by himself however there were quite a lot of them. About 1000 to be precise. And he realised that a few might slip through so the only choice was to assemble as many S and A classes as possible. They were going to need all the help they can get. But he was reluctant to use the knights for this purpose. As it stood most of the Void Knights were Low B class in power. However the Captains were Peak A class and the Commander was Low S class. As it stood using the knights to battle them was akin to sending a group of kids to deal with a squad of adults. They would be slaughtered. As a result he decided the best course of action was to go and meet the Void Knights in battle.

With his mindset ready for a long battle he set out. After about 5 minutes he reached the Void Knight army. Suddenly he saw something that shocked him to his core. A Void Rift. Something which allows Void Beasts to enter the dimension and he suddenly sensed that something was coming through the rift. What he saw shocked him to his core. Entire squads of Void Knights were entering. This meant the creator of the Void Rift he saw was atleast in Tier 5 of the Divine level which allowed him to be able to ignore the rule that  B class and above beasts can't enter from other dimensions. He saw that while his initial estimates were close he was really far off from the real number because as it stood there were 2000 Void Knights and more were pouring out of the rift with seemingly no intention of stopping. After a good hour the Void Knight inflow finally stopped. By then the number of grunts had reached 5000, the number of Captains was 100 and there were 10 Commanders and 1 General. This was an army capable of laying waste to an entire empire.

After realising just how large of a threat these guys were he decided to not mess around. He instantly activated Void Armament and Abyss Manifestation.

He raised his blade and swung it down hard at the army. "Dimension Cut" is all he said. With that single attack he eliminated about 250 Void Knights and severely injured 2 Captains. Immediately the army turned to look at him. However for some reason their instincts screamed at them to start running away from him and not look back. As though they were animals standing in front of an apex predator. Samael merely smirked darkly and said,"Let the hunt... Begin!"
