"Evil can never truly be gone. For without evil, good cannot exist." - Ashborne, a wise and great king.

In the world of Xylon there are many different kinds of magic. One representative of each element such as Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, et al. However there is a hidden affinity one which was lost to time. The Void Affinity. Legend has it that those who posses the power of the void have unlimited possibilities. This was especially true for Samael. When he took the magic affinity test he'd realised that none of the basic elements felt... right. They all felt superficial as though there was something else which was waiting for him to discover it. So he decided that he would find it out himself. With his talent even though he had average affinity for the basic elements he surpassed his teachers who specialized in those elements.
After he set out on his journey he decided to first train and get stronger before attempting the selection test for the knight after all he was only Mid D class in terms of power. He decided to enter the forest in order to gain experience. As time went on he got better and better. However he could not break past his barrier of Peak C class. He realised in order to do that he needed to find his affinity.
One day while wandering in the forest he saw something.. strange. A monument that seems like it had been around from time unknown. Intrigued he entered the monument and soon felt something calling to him. He kept walking forward a few monsters and undead popped up sometimes however they posted no challenge to him, not at first. However once he reached the middle part of the monument he saw some weird beasts. They had black skin and purple veins. Immediately he realised what they were. They were Void beasts. He fought them bravely and won. However he was not unscathed. He had a long cut over his left eye and multiple other wounds all over his body. He tried to use magic but soon realised that this monument was a null zone. {1} However he kept going on as he felt the call growing more and more powerful. After reaching the core area of the monument he felt it, something pulling on his soul. Looking forward he saw a blade pitch black and radiating a terrifying aura. However to him that aura felt... Comfortable. As though that aura would clear all his worries. Mustering what little strength he had left in his body he walked up to the sword. After he called his mind and heart he lifted it and immediately felt as though the entire universe was in his grasp. An overwhelming amount of information flowed into his mind causing unbearable pain. But he braved through it nevertheless. After what felt as though it were an eternity the pain finally stopped. Immediately afterwards he fell, completely unconscious.
After god knows how long he finally woke up. Immediately he noticed something different about himself. It was as though all of the universe were submitting to him. Then he recalled some of the information he received before. He remembered that the entire universe was controlled by void energy. It was an incredibly volatile thing capable of untold destruction but also creation. His affinity was Void. With this in mind he got up trying to get a feel for his new powers that was when he realised something was off.
