The Divine Level. The closest a mortal can get to Divinity without transcending the mortal realm is SSS class. However in order to ascend to the Divine level one has to pass a trial. For some it is to defeat oneself, for others it is to accept and embrace one's true self. Samael knew that he would have to defeat himself in combat and not just that the version of him he had to defeat had already achieved Tier 1 of the Divine Level. That was what made it so challenging. Defeating oneself was an extremely difficult thing to do even if your copy was weaker than you. After all you could not hide what you knew from yourself now could you? Samael was going to have to take the challenge today. Nobody knew but this day would mark the beginning of the birth of the Martial God King.

Samael had completed all his preparations for the trial. He was convinced that he had reached the bottleneck where it was impossible for him to improve any further unless he transcended to the Divine level. However saying it and doing it are two different matters all together. Samael during the one week he spent had not only strengthened the Instant Sword he had also nearly finished creating his Void God Martial Style. His fighting prowess had reached unprecedented levels. He entered the trial stage.

As he had expected he saw a black shadow materializing in front of him. He prepared himself for what would be the most difficult fight that he has ever fought. The two combatants were both immensely powerful. One was Tier 1 Divine level, the other was peak human SSS class. This is a battle worth watching for any and all for they may gain immense amounts of inspiration from this battle.

Samael knew that he couldn't hold back. Holding back would be equal to giving up the fight. So he immediately went all out. He activated Void Armament and put on his Void Walker armor. And for the first time ever he let out his true power. His was so powerful that even his punches had the same amount of power behind them as a ICBM. He brought out his blade as well. And the fight began.

In a battle where two really powerful people fight against one another the victor is often decided by who has the initiative. As such, the moment his opponent materialized  he immediately struck forth, his blade but a shadow. This blade which is invisible to others seemed to be about par to the shadow warrior. The shadow warrior countered with the same strike that Samael executed. The blades collided creating a sharp metallic sound. The moment the strikes collided Samael was flung back, the differences in their strengths obvious. However he stood back up, the moment the strikes collided he realized something.  Though the shadow imitated everything he did, it possessed neither a mind nor a foundation as firm as his own. With this in mind he kept on fighting. An hour passes by... soon an hour became a day, a day became a week. For an entire week the two fought. There were no breaks for there was no room for any. Each strike was with the intent to kill.

All of a sudden he was struck with a realization. The shadow did indeed imitate all he did, but it was a fraction of a second slower, to the point where it was of no consequence to anyone else. However to him this fraction of a second was enough. After all to him a fraction of a second was akin to an eternity for he possessed the Instant Sword. However he would only get one shot so he had to ready to execute it when the shadow was the most vulnerable. However this was not without risk, for if he misses he will be struck by it's attack instead and that was basically a guaranteed death. However this was a risk he must take. After all while shadows don't tire, don't lose strength, Samael was a human made of flesh and blood. Humans tire, humans grow weak, humans need rest. The only choice he had now was to try and end the fight as soon as possible.

Samael struck forth once more and the shadow imitated him but it was a fraction of a second slower. But this allowed him to execute his most powerful attack. The Instant Sword. The moment he struck forth all seemed to stop it was as if he was the only thing that could move. To those who watched it would seem as though the attack was over the moment it began. But only those who were on the receiving end of it would know the true horror of this strike. To those who received it, it seemed the strike was slow as though they could dodge it with ease, but only when they tried to dodge would they realize the true danger. No matter how much they tried they could not move. This was the true horror of this strike, the feeling of helplessness when you realize resistance is futile.

Samael's plan worked. He managed to defeat the shadow warrior. However soon he realized something was off....
