Chapter 21

We leave his room and walk to the back.

"Aye look whose here" Devin says and they look at me.

"Hi" I softly smile.

"Hey" they all respond.

Devin sits down.

I grab the basketball and shoot a three.

"You guys look tired"

"Yeah" Chris says while drinking water.

"We should go to the beach"

"All of us?" Asked Devin.

"Yeah, it would be fun"

"You guys can go, I'm going home" Chris says.

"You sure man?" Asked Devin.

"Yeah. Maybe another time" Chris looks at me and hugs Devin then leaves.

As I'm about to sit Devin grabs my hand and places me on top of his lap.

Here we go again.

I try getting up but he's holding me.

Mikal looks at me but when I look at him, he quickly looks away. Ummm okkk.

The guys continue playing basketball and I bury my face in Devin's chest. He kisses my forehead.

My phone rings. I'm too sleepy to answer it.

"Can you answer that for me?"

"You sure?" Devin says looking at my phone.

"Yeah"

He answers.

"Yo"

"Where's Destiny?"

I look at Devin. My eyes go wide. Shit it's Stephen.

"She's right here sleeping"

"Tell her I said to call me later. It's important"

Devin hangs up.

"What he'd want?"

"I don't know. He said to call him later"

"Oh"

I turn off my phone and Devin looks at me.

"What?"

"Nothing" he says.

I take a little nap.

I slowly open my eyes and I'm in Devin's room.

He's sleeping.

I sit up and stretch.

I look at his phone and it's 5:34 p.m

I must have fell asleep.

I sneeze four times.

Devin slowly moves my way.

I kiss his nose. His eyes flutter open and he smiles.

"Hi"

"Hey" I smile at him.

"How'd I get in here?"

"I carried you and tucked you in"

"Oh"

"Now take yo ass to sleep" his eyes are halfway open.

"Ugh"

We cuddle close together and go back to sleep.
