Chapter 7.

I drive to his house and he lets me in.

"hey babygirl"

"hey baby"

we kiss for a little.

"i didn't think you'd come"

"why wouldn't I?"

"i don't know"

I place my hands onto his.

"can we talk?"

"about what?"

"I have to tell you something. I promise nothing happened"

"what is it?"

"when I was in San Francisco after the game was over, Kelly came in my office and he told me he loved me then he put his arms around my waist and tried kissing me"

"did you kiss him back?"

"no, I pulled away and told him to leave"

"do you still love him?"

"no" 

"I only love you. baby you can trust me. I had to tell you"

"you'd tell me anything right"

"yes, you have a right to know"

he smiles. "what am I going to do without you?"

"i'm never leaving you" I say then we kiss and continue in his bedroom.

I put on his shirt and get up from his bed to go to the bathroom.

When i'm done I wipe my face with water.

as I walk to his bed he has my phone in his hand.

"why are you still talking to kelly?"

"what?"

"he texted you, 'when can I see you? you know where i'm at😘'" 

"baby he texts me, I don't "

"why isn't he blocked?"

"i don't know"

"are you going to see him?"

"no"

"unlock your phone real quick"

I sit next to him and unlock my phone.

He clicks the notification from instagram and calls him.

the first time he calls Kelly doesn't answer.

Devin calls again and he answers. "hey babygirl"

"aye you needa back up. Destiny ain't got time to see yo ass man. leave her the fuck alone"

"yo Book fuck outta here. mind yo business"

"nah you needa mind your business. you know how thirsty yo ass look? leave my girl alone"

he says and hangs up and he gives me my phone.

"thank you" I say and kiss him.

"let me know if he tries something"

"okay"

my phone rings. as I look at the screen it's my dad.

"yea?"

"when are you coming home?"

"i'll be over in a little"

"okay bye love you"

"love you too"  i say and hang up.

"that was my dad, I gotta go soon"

"ight gimme a kiss"

I give him a kiss and he pulls me on top of him.

"baby I gotta go"

"stay a lil longer"

"your lucky I love you" I say smiling.

"how can you not love me?" he says and I kiss him.

"i gotta go" I say putting on my clothes.

"ight, call me when you get home"

"okay" 

he walks me to his door and he puts his arms around my waist and kisses me.

"bye baby"

"bye Devin" I smile and walk away. 

When I get home I take a shower. the rest of the day goes by.
