Chapter 13.

I wake up next to Stephen, he's up on his phone.

"good morning"

"good morning" i tiredly reply

"why did you choose to sleep in my room last night?"

"I didn't want to be alone"

"oh"

"do you have any toothpaste?"

"yeah, there is extra in the cabinet"

I get up and use the bathroom. when i'm done I get a new toothbrush and toothpaste and brush my teeth.

I finish my business and see him still laying on the bed.

"Steph?"

"hmm?"

I sit next to him. "thank you so much for letting me stay here. is their anything I can do for you?"

"no, not really"

"you sure?"

"yeah Destiny i'm sure"

"You have been so nice to me" i say then slowly get on top of him.

"aye Destiny, what're you doing?"

"I want to congratulate you on your win"

"Destiny-"

"i know you like me" i lick my bottom lip.

"Destiny this isn't right"

"i don't care" I say then kiss his neck. I then grind my body against his.

"Destiny Chill"

"don't you want me?'

"stop" he says then shakes his head and gently pushes me off him.

"i'm not here to take advantage of you. yes I like you but not like this"

"i'm sorry Curry. i'm sorry I thought-"

"its okay" he says and I hug him.

"you hungry?"

"yeah"

"do you have any Joggers?"

"yeah, black or grey?"

"grey" I say and he nods.

"here you go"

"thank you" I put on his Joggers and tied my shirt.

we leave his house and go out for lunch.

I look at my phone and see a text from Devin.

As i'm reading his message I hold back my tears and respond with a long paragraph.

I hold back my tears and look out the window.

as were eating we talk for a bit.

"i'm surprised we won"

"you guys did good"

he nods. "i'm going back to Arizona tomorrow"

"you just got here"

"i know but I'm also a physical trainer for the Suns and they have a game coming up"

"so you and Devin?"

"were no longer together"

"that's good" he says and smiles.

"steph?"

"yeah?"

"i'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" 

"its all good"

we finish eating lunch and we leave.
