I'm a Purple Diamond that was given another name.
I've traveled the universe in order to save myself, and my court, from certain doom. While the remains of my court rests, I attempt to get to know this new planet in order to prepare them for their new lives as fugitives... Or at least, that's what Raf said.
Raf is my current caretaker, who picked a name for me and is teaching me the ways of an angel. It's pretty difficult because my body doesn't follow the same rules as the eternal ones, but there's nothing I can do about that.
I can see and interact with the celestials, and they are invisible to those they call terrestrial, which are the humans that they are supposed to protect. Unfortunately, I am not invisible to those humans.
I really wanted to go to this "school" Raf and her friends talk about all the time, but for the most part, I haven't left their room except for the times they had free to take me around town.
This day was a little special though.
"Yeah, the professor left for two days for some reason, so it should be okay to bring you out to explore the school." Mikki, the oldest of the angels, smiled as she spoke to me, picking my outfit from the magazines Sweet brought.
"Are you certain you will not be penalized?" I tapped through the pictures on a camera I received from Urie. She said it was a "gift".
Raf said that sometimes friends would exchange gifts, it was just a kind thing to do. It's a shame I didn't have anything to give her in return.
"Uh, I'm about seventy percent sure, but it doesn't matter. Ah, here, can you make something like this?" Mikki held up a magizine and I studied the outfit for a moment.
After I got it down, I twirled dramatically as my outfit changed. I added a halo for that special angel effect. "Ta-da."
"Perfect, you look just like an angel!" Mikki coplimented me, holding my hands with the brightest smile.
I could never understand how people who aren't made of light shine so much brighter than I do, but then again, maybe it's because they aren't made of light that they shine...
"We're gonna miss lunch, let's go!" She lead me out of the room and down the hall.
The place they're studying in is called the Golden School. It's where young angels go to get their radiant halos, and devils come to receive the devil equivalent, something about horns... Anyway, the Angels and Devils are rivals, they are meant to influence their respective humans to either do good, or bad.
The Angels and Devils have separate classrooms and dorms, but they share the common areas, like the cafeteria.
The only devil I met after all this time was Sulfus, but suddenly I'm out in front of an entire classroom's worth of both angels and devils.
There was some confusion that Mikki helped me clear up, because I haven't really interacted with anyone other than Raf and her friends, and I'm not trying to get myself thrown out.
"Elos! Do you want something to eat?" Sweet pulled a chair out for me, which was really nice.
"Eat? What's that?"
Raf set out something on the table with a smile. "Food, well, this is angel cake to be exact. I know gems don't exactly eat, but I thought maybe you'd want to try it."
Sweet gasped, "You don't eat!?"
"Shhh!" Urie held a finger to her lips, and Sweet covered her mouth with both hands.
"Sorry!"
"Uh... I'm sorry, I guess? So what is this 'eat'?" I asked again, because my question wasn't answered I'm the first place. I get that 'eat' is something done to 'food' and that 'food' has a very pretty appearance. It's not alive, and it's what humans use to give themselves energy.
