The diamond's gem pulsed on the ground near Sulfus's feet in a dimly lit room. The devil was tied to a stone piller in the room that was slightly damp from the water leaking from the ceiling.
It seemed like they were in a prison, but not one meant to hold them.
The devil was unconscious for a while, but awoke before the gem had begun to stir herself.
"Ugh... My head... Hey..." He paused, looking at his surroundings for the gem. "Elos?"
At the name, the jewel on the floor pulsed again, as if answering the call.
Sulfus lightly tapped the gem, calling out again, "Elos, are you there?"
Like magic, the gem began floating and radiating a brilliant light that managed to take the form of a person, a woman with purple skin, lustrous hair that shimmered with even the faintest light, eyes made up of endless crystalline pattern, and wings so large they could engulf a group of people. She was a rather large woman, but even in her original form...
"Oh. My. Shards! Is this an actual prison! This is so exciting!"
She was still just Elos.
"By the horns of a thousand devils..." Sulfus stared wide-eyed at the person who had suddenly appeared. It took a minute to process, but he slowly began putting the pieces together. "So... Elos?"
The woman smiled as brightly as the sunshine, crouching in front of the devil. "Yes, Sulfus?"
"Who are you?" He asked after... not a lot of concideration.
Elos blinked, tilting her head to the side as if she were confused. "I'm Purple Diamond. Ah, but my new name is Elos, oh, but you know that already... Yeah, I don't understand the question." She giggled.
Sulfus took his time to piece together the question he wanted the ask. It was the hardest he had ever tried to think about the words that would come out of his mouth. "Okay.... You..."
Elos poked the chains that squeezed the devil's body. "Hey, doesn't this thing hurt. Should I take it off?"
The devil didn't have time to ponder her question, she was already pulling the chain apart like it was nothing. It was clear that whatever she was wasn't celestial, so how in the fires below is she able to interact with them?
Being freed from the chains lifted the weight off his chest, literally, so he could then focus on the words he wanted to use.
Elos looked the devil up and down, then back at herself. "I should change, I guess." She smiled as brightly as she always had, crossing her wings in front of her as she returned to a simple ball of violet light.
Within seconds, her physical form became that which Sulfus was more familiar with.
"Okay! I must return to Raf's room before she realises I'm missing."
The devil was baffled by the diamond's behavior. Just a moment before, she seemed sporadic and all of a sudden, she became elegantly calm. The smile she had on her face seemed more robotic than it had when she was excited.
Sulfus sighed, whatever he was going to say was lost in the recesses of his mind. He couldn't help but find the diamond intriguing, just a very odd individual.
Though she was curious, the more she looked around the room they were stuck in, the more cautious she became. She peeked our of the room, taking her time to listen for footsteps or even voices. It was quiet, entirely too quiet, even by her standards.
"Come on, Sulfus, let's find a way out!" She turned to him, holding a hand out which he took without hesitation.
He was surprised by her enthusiasm, her character baffled him, a devil of all beings.
