Chapter 17

San was boarding the private plane with his father and I.N, excited to finally be on his way to Milano. The thought of seeing Wooyoung again made his heart race, and maybe, just maybe, he would have the chance to confess his feelings. His father seemed to notice the shift in San's mood but shrugged it off, consumed by his own concerns.

As the plane took off and the lights of Korea grew smaller, San gazed out the window, his mind a whirl of thoughts. He plugged in his earphones and played some music, allowing the music to ease him into a peaceful sleep.

Meanwhile, Wooyoung was busy preparing for the ball at the end of the week. He had meticulously planned everything for the past two years. His parents' death would not be in vain, not because of some man blinded by greed.

While sorting through important documents, Wooyoung received a message from Hobi reminding him to visit the tailor for a suit fitting. After all, it was a special occasion, and Hobi, ever the enthusiast, would ensure everything went perfectly.

Once he finished his work, Wooyoung prepared to leave. His butler was already waiting for him, but Hobi was nowhere in sight. Wooyoung headed out alone. Before getting into the car, he closed his eyes, taking slow, calming breaths. After the accident, he had developed a deep fear of cars. The first time he tried to get into his favorite car after his mother's death, he had a panic attack as soon as his hands touched the steering wheel. Hobi had been the one to calm him down, gently guiding him to breathe, even as Wooyoung sobbed uncontrollably. It had felt dramatic, but it was the loss of his parents that had shattered him. Now, with the knowledge of who was behind the accident, he felt like there was no one he could trust anymore.

But Wooyoung had a mission. He would avenge his mother and show everyone who dared to hurt what mattered to him that they were beneath him.

As the rain fell heavily, blurring the world outside the window, the car stopped in front of the tailor shop.

The tailor's fitting session was brief. Wooyoung's mind, however, was far from the suit. He couldn't help but think about the time he spent with San. That day at the arcade felt like a dream. After hours of competitive play, both of them had lost track of time, caught up in the joy of simply being together.

San's hand rested gently on Wooyoung's lap, and Wooyoung smiled softly as San ran his fingers through his hair. "San, I love you," Wooyoung whispered, his voice full of warmth and raw emotion. The smile he gave San was more than just a simple expression—it held everything he couldn't put into words.

San leaned down, pressing a tender kiss to Wooyoung's lips. "I love you too, Woo."

But just as those words left his lips, everything vanished.

(Listen to Inception 2:34-3:00)

Your traces remain as scent
I search for you like a maniac
Then I wake
To find myself going around in circles again
Where you at? Where you at? Where are you?
Where you go? Where you go? Leaving behind, you are
Comin' tonight, every night
I'm lost looking for you, hey
And I can't forget you

Wooyung, please don't leave me just after i found you.

Unknown POV

He was confused after that call, and knew something was up.

He didn't dare to leave the tiniest things unnoticed or else everything would be ruined.

So he got his men to check on what happened.

He worked too hard to lose everything when he's just about to be at the top.

While getting in the car he felt eyes watching him and knew someone had been trying to find dirt on him. He smirked and got in the car and drove to his office. All that was left to do was get the one obstacle out of his way. Now that all the documents are prepared for him, he just needed to get rid of-----

"What is it"
"Boss, someone was in your office and they left your bodyguard here"

"Wait for me i'll be there soon"

He chuckled 'let's see how far they can go'

Inside his office, his anger was palpable. His bodyguard—the best underground fighter he had spent a fortune on—lay paralyzed and useless. The man could neither move nor speak, and now he had no answers.

"What happened?!" the man roared, slamming his fist onto the desk. "How could they get past all of you?!"

"Sir, the security cameras show nothing. No one noticed anything suspicious. They must have hidden their presence well while carrying out their plan."

His fury boiled over. "I want everyone—every single person in this building—searched. Double the security. No one gets in without a pass and strict check. Understood?!"

"Yes, sir," they replied in unison.

He clenched his fists. "Just wait. Whoever you are, once I get my hands on those documents, everyone will bow to me, and I will make sure the person who dared to humiliate me pays."

Wooyoung, meanwhile, was on his way back from the tailor when his phone rang. It was Gyu.

"I did it, Wooyoung. But next time, please get someone bigger to do that. Even though I'm tall, I'm not strong enough for this kind of work," Gyu complained, clearly tired.

"Thanks, Gyu," Wooyoung replied, a grin tugging at his lips. "I owe you one."
