Virgo hunched up her shoulders, glancing back constantly. She, Mink, Firn and a mute IceWing named Vulpes were walking through the tunnels.
"What is wrong with you, NightWing?" Mink snarled.
"Mink," Firn replied, "She's just paranoid. I was like that when I first moved to the Ice Kingdom. Away from Possiblity. Queen Wolverine banished my grandma fifty years ago."
Virgo nodded distractedly.
"Hey." Firn said gently. "Here's a little guide. Jade Mountain's done it's role, so it's starting to minimize. Now there are so many more schools, such as the Sand-Ice School, Cobalt Mountain, Ice-Night Forest, and much more. So you'll find little holes for people that join mid-term."
Virgo nodded and took it gratefully.
Welcome to the Jade Mountain Academy!
At this school, you will be learning side-by-side with dragons from all other tribes, so we wanted to give you some basic information that may be useful as you get to know one another.
You have been assigned to a winglet with six other dragons; the winglet groups are listed on the following page.
Intrigued, Virgo turned a page.
Jade Winglet
IceWing: Mink
MudWing: Ox
NightWing: Peacemaker
RainWing: Capybara
SandWing: Fennec
SeaWing: Current
SkyWing: Sangria
That's where Mink is, Virgo thought.
Gold Winglet
IceWing: Firn
Virgo looked at Firn. She and Mink were chatting, and Mink was visibly blushing.
MudWing: Gallinule
NightWing: Merit
RainWing: Lemur
Virgo skimmed through the rest.
Virgo ignored the Silver Winglet and went to the Copper Winglet.
Copper Winglet
IceWing: Vulpes
MudWing: Mallard
NightWing: Python
RainWing: Lemon
SandWing: undecided
SeaWing: undecided
SkyWing: Australazine, or Austra
"Aus-tra-la-zine," Virgo tried out the word. Mink shot her a glare, but Virgo didn't notice.
Quartz Winglet
IceWing: Virgo
That's me! Virgo realized.
MudWing: Mahogany
NightWing: Ural
RainWing: Avocado
SandWing: Oribi
And the annoying SandWing, Virgo thought, feeling a bit dejected. Virgo stopped reading the leaflet.
"Are Merit, Lemon and Avocado the dragonets of Queen Glory of the Rainforest, RainWings and NightWings?" Virgo asked.
Firn nodded. "And Firefly as well, but her winglet is mostly empty. Avocado... not so sure about her. Whenever I visit Queen Glory, Avocado is never seen. She's just mentioned with spite. Merit's nice, though."
