The sound of laughter and cheers filled the air, a pale blond haired girl standing on the balcony, having been crowned the kingdoms princess. She smiled, her expression softening as she waved to the crowd. That day was the best day of her life, being crowned her kingdoms future instead of her cousin. Well...the excitement didn't last long for her, the peace lasted about five days, then it came crashing down turning to dust. A dark blue haired girl named, Gina, had arrived in her home and claimed that she was also the daughter of her father. Her father didn't believe her not one bit, since the only person he had ever truly loved was the late mother of the crowned Princess. Topaz. That's me...I'm Topaz, and Gina was my half sister after father had done research.

He took her in after the reveal, and she immediately started gaining the approval and affection from the rest of the family, causing them to leave me behind. Everyone forgot about me except for Father, who held no interest in Gina despite her trying to get close to him. He always shoved her away whenever she tried to get close, spending time with me and taking me on trips with him. Gina tried to frame me once for ransacking her room, even the maids were agreeing with her. The only thing Gina earned from that was a hard slap to the face from their furious father, who had been with me the whole day. Gina was placed in solitary confinement until she was twelve, and was released on her thirteenth birthday even more vengeful on me and my father now.

Me and Father continued to stick together, despite the rest of my siblings and cousin criticizing us, telling us that we were upset because Gina would be a better ruler than either of us were. Father was protective of me because of mother's death, he had went on a killing spree after he found her dead when I was a year old. That night after the murder spree I had crawled into his room and joined him in bed. He had hugged and pressed kisses to her face that night, promising to give her a better life even with her mother gone. He kept his promise, buying her vacation spots and spoiling her with things she seemed interested in. She had recently started dance and he even came to her first recital, her father was the loudest one cheering in the crowd when she finished which made her feel proud..so she continued dance lessons to see him smile.

Me and my Father's happiness didn't last long...because of my older brother. My father said back then that he would chose and heir based on their skills, I worked harder than anyone knowing the flaws my siblings had. Despite my father being a kind and caring man, my siblings in contrast were cold hearted and ready to kill anyone in their way. When I became the heir my older brother had vowed vengeance and even allied himself with Gina behind me and my Father's back. I never knew it till the day came where he chased me and Father out of the kingdom. It started with a fire in my room I managed to escape from, my father had gotten the same treatment in his room. Me and my father found my brother in the throne room wearing my father's crown and claiming himself as the king.

The last thing I remembered was Gina ordering the guards to kill us. Both me and my father managed to escape thanks to one of the more loyal guards showing us a secret passage to outside of our home. We lived in hiding ever since, a few of my father's most loyal guards brought us food and supplies, but I still felt something wrong. I started to loose my emotions and I became more quieter which worried my father grately since I was usually so hopeful and cheerful...but all hope and happiness drain away eventually. I kept myself in my room, only eating and drinking to stay alive for my father's sake. Three years after our escape I heard a small frantic voice, which I followed to the middle of the woods we lived in where I found a star floating on the ground. I remember smiling for the first time...until I touched the star and ended up somewhere else.
