Spica entered the committee room, Ruby beaming as she looked around, Topaz continuing to cling to Arcky as she glanced around trying to keep the tears from falling. "Juice again, Arcturus?"Spica asked as Arcky sat Topaz down in a chair. "Yep! Your coffee is way too bitter and hot Spica~"Arcky smiled Ruby giggling. "I'll take a coffee!"Ruby beamed skipping over. "I would barely call it hot....I'll go ahead and prepare another coffee for Ruby, what would you like Topaz"Spica says. "Water..."Topaz muttered uncomfortable under Ruby's gaze. "In that case, I'll make you some tea, you seem tense now..."Spica nodded turning away. "What is this, an emergency meeting or a tea party?"The male they had called demanded walking into the room.
"Hello!"Ruby giggled amused. Another male walked in behind the pink haired one, Ruby waving enthusiastically at him as well. "Hey, Poll! You brought Alpheratz too!"Arcky greeted cheerful as ever. "More like dragged him here, but yeah"Pollux sighed nodding. "Seriously? Nobody asked you to, you make it sound like you did me a favor"Alpheratz frowned. "All you really did was ruin my nap"Alpheratz yawned stretching. Ruby laughed, beaming at both boys, Topaz looking down at her bare feet. "Yeah, Yeah, grampa! You're already here, quit complaining"Pollux snorted. "Something sweet, please, Spica!"Pollux grinned. "Spoiled little brat..."Alpheratz muttered. "I take it you don't like each other"Ruby guesses. "Damn right, smart new kid, he tortures me every day of the week"Alpheratz nodded.
Topaz trembled, knowing it wouldn't take long for Ruby to turn them all against her now that she was here as well. "Come on it's a testament of our undying friendship! Don't pretend like you don't know!"Pollux corrected. "Haha, yeah, I never get tired of watching those two!"Arcky laughed. He smiled at Topaz, giving her a reassuring look. "You'll get used to it soon enough, Topaz"Arcky smiled causing Ruby to glance over with a small scowl. "They're an absolute disgrace to the dignity of all sorcerers if you ask me...."Spica sighed. "Don't be like that! This is entertaining, you know!"Ruby beamed. "Alpheratz, Pollux, quit your bickering and take your seats"Spica commanded ignoring Ruby. "My butts already planted! Come on, Alpheratz act like a grown-up for once!"Pollux frowned.
"Every single time"Alpheratz sighed. "Alright, alright, I'm seated now...Spica don't look at me that way"Alpheratz grumbled. "Is this everyone here!"Ruby asks looking around. "I haven't heard back from the others, guess this is everyone..."Arcky responded looking around. "It was a very short notice and unplanned at that, some are simply too far away"Spica sighed nodding. Topaz looked at him, feeling Ruby's gaze on her practically burning holes through her body. "If not....it's simply a matter of apathy, which is a long-running committee tradition"Spica continued on glancing at Topaz then Ruby making sure they understood. "Well I'll introduce these to you two!"Arcky suggests Topaz reaching up and wiping the sweat drop from his head again.
"Or even better! You could introduce yourselves!"Arcky smiled looking at them all. "I don't know, it seems unnecessary"Pollux sighed. "No! It's not, I wanna get to know all of you guys, and become close friends!"Ruby gasped standing up, her eyes wide. "Woah, okay okay....come on, boy, lets tell the new kids who we are..."Alpheratz sighed. "Fine, I'll do it"Pollux muttered shaking his head. He cleared his throat, Ruby staring at him her eyes sparkling. "I'm Pollux, Second Sorcerer of Gemini. I don't make new friends, so don't either of you get your hopes up"Pollux greeted frowning at them both. "Wow!"Ruby beamed. "And don't you make me do this in front of anyone. Ever again"Pollux glared. Ruby only giggled in amusement.
"I'm Alpheratz, First Sorcerer of Andromeda, and you are Ruby...and she's Topaz?"Alpheratz greeted. "Welp, good luck to the both of you... that's all I can really say"Alpheratz says. "Thanks for the encouragement!"Ruby smiled startling the male. "Encouragement....you're a ball of positivity aren't you? What can't you be encouraged by..."Alpheratz sighed. Ruby giggled again, giving him an amused smile. Topaz got up, and quickly left the room, the boys staring after her. "Now that's just rude..."Spica comments. "I'll go grab her"Arcky says hurrying after Topaz. "Oh dear, I hope she's okay, she seemed a bit...shaken up..."Ruby comments looking concerned. The door opened then closed, running footsteps echoing from outside the door.
"Topaz!"Arcky gasped spotting her sitting in a dark corner, hugging her legs to her chest. He stared at her, noticing she was silently crying and trembling covering her ears and muttering something about not wanting to be left behind again. "Topaz!" She looked up, her eyes wide as he grabbed her hands, a concerned look on his face. "Are you alright"Arcky asked. "You can't trust Ruby, she's faking her good nature.."Topaz muttered. "Faking..."Arcky stared stunned. "Back home, I was crown princess, but my half sister arrived and everything went downhill, me and my father were betrayed, my brother stole the throne...Ruby and Gina were intent on killing me or making my life miserable, they had turned everyone against me...everyone but my Dad, he loved me more than words could say"Topaz says.
"Ruby made me out to be the bad guy, doing Gina's dirty work....turning my siblings and cousins against me...I don't know what I did to her, I was gonna make her my right hand after the coronation but she never wanted to talk to me"Topaz muttered. "Topaz..."Arcky stared. "I'm not a bad person Arcky...I'm just a broken one, a stupid broken girl..everything I knew and loved is gone...I'm stuck here now till you find me a way back, I have to get back to my Dad..."Topaz sighed tears falling to the ground. She looked up at him, her eyes starting to get puffy. "You believe me right...you won't trust Ruby and will be wary of her..."Topaz muttered. Arcky stared at her, then smiled and hugged her. "I believe you Topaz, I trust you...I'll be careful around Ruby"Arcky smiled. Topaz hugged him tight, quietly sobbing, her face buried in his shoulder.
