"Welcome, Topaz! Congratulations on your first official day at Contell!"Arcturus beamed looking excited. "I don't know if Spica told you, but you'll be teaming up with me and Ruby will be teaming up with Pollux"Arcturus grinned. She walked beside him, a gentle smile on his face. "You should learn about the Boundary and receive basic training, I'll help you with that"Arcturus smiled placing a hand on her back. Icicle bounded around, letting out quiet roars of curiosity. She nodded, looking around silently. "Our classed are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced!"Arcturus beamed walking beside her.
"Poll's Constellation choice was relatively recent so he takes beginner courses, but in short he'll work his way up to advance in no time!"Arcturus went on. "I mostly take advanced, so sadly, we won't be taking that many classes together...although as your partner i'm here to help and train you"Arcturus went on. "I really wish to stay and help you out more, but call me anytime if you have any questions!"Arcturus smiled. She nodded, picking Icicle up when her familiar ran over to her. "Okay, okay, Arcky! Knock it off, Topaz gets it"Pollux frowned walking over with Ruby beside him. "Also, is it just me or did you just make me sound really inexperienced"Pollux frowned.
"No, not at all, that's not what I meant!"Arcturus gasped. "You're worrying too much Arcky"Topaz scolds frowning. "Yeah, I guess I'm nervous cause I won't be able to watch over you with our classes being different"Arcturus agreed quietly. "Just admit you can't trust me to protect Topaz"Pollux snorted. Topaz gave him a look, wondering if she should smack him like she smacked Sirius the other day.....only it ended with her falling out of the sky and right into Vega's arms, which still flustered her when it normally wouldn't. She looked down, wondering how Sirius fell in love with her in the first place. "I'm just messing with you, man! I know what you're like, Arcky, everyone does!"Pollux laughed.
"Go on, man, everyone's looking for you"Pollyx beckoned shooing him away. "Yeah, you should go Arcky"Topaz nodded looking at him. "Okay, okay! Don't be late for class. I'll meet you guys in the lobby!"Arcturus beamed laughing a little. Topaz looked around then walked away, a small frown on her face. "Topaz! Lets sit together!"Ruby beamed hugging her arm. Topaz moved away and sat down, looking away from them. Pollux glanced at her before sighing and sitting beside her, Ruby sitting on the other side of him. Icicle let out a wail, startling Pollux. Topaz perked up, spotting a little polar bear drawing in Pollux's book. The teacher walked in, her eyes darting over to hom as ass begun.
She quietly sighed, writing in the notebook Spica left for her in her rooms. "..and with that the Tower was consumed by an anomaly. This was the First Great Disaster, and the skies..." She frowned a little, and sighed, shaking her head, her thoughts going to what Spica said last night. "..It was Great Sorcerer..of Ursa Minor who led the way..at the scene of the ruins, the Great Sorcerers..." Topaz perked up, her eyes widening slightly knowing that Constellation name. Ursa Minor had a counterpart named Ursa Major, both were polar bear stars. Ursa Minor could also be called Little Bear by the people back at her home, it was also the 56th largest constellation in the sky. Ruby glanced at her, looking curious.
Topaz gripped her pencil, feeling her body tense up. "I'm not....let....give up..not...watch." She jumped, looking alarmed. "....see, plans...out...to." She stared at her paper, a dazed look on her face. "...opaz...Topaz...TOPAZ!" She snapped out of it, her eyes wide in alarm. She stood up and gathered her things, stuffing them in her sidebag. She ran out of the classroom, shocking Pollux and Ruby with how fast she was going. "Arcky!" She ran towards him, her arms outstretched towards the taller male. Arcturus laughed and held his arms out. She leaped into his embrace, her arms wrapping around his neck as he caught her. "Hey ToTo! How was your first class!"Arcturus grinned setting her down on the ground.
"Topaz blanked out for the rest of class"Pollux says. "It's not easy for some people to focus in class, besides it's all new to us!"Ruby smiled. "R-Right, Ruby is right"Pollux says. "Arcky, are you alright?"Topaz asks concerned looking up at him. "Oh, I feel like I lost something, but I can't figure out what.."Arcturus replied sweating slighty. "Ah, it's the banquet! I was supposed to help!"Arcturus gasped. "I just knew you'd be doing more than waiting for us"Pollux sighed. "We all gotta help somehow, you can help as well Topaz"Arcturus smiled. "We have lunch! We should relax a little!"Pollux interrupts. Topaz nodded, giving Pollux a small smile. "See, she's hungry!"Pollux grinned.
Ruby snorted, narrowing her eyes. "We can head out to town, there's this great place called Northern Skies Cafe!"Pollux grinned Arcturus chuckling. Ruby walked ahead, a smile on her face as she hummed a merry little tune. She yelped crashing into someone and stumbled back, Arcturus stepping out of the way when she fell backwards, landing on her bottom. Topaz watched as her cousin looked at Arcturus in disbelief only for him to ignore her. Topaz looked at the sorcerer, staring at him silently, noticing how he was staring her down with a sharp gaze. "You're the summoner from Mid Eartheim, I wanna have a word with you." Ruby glared at Topaz, bristling with how much of the spotlight the girl was stealing.
Topaz listened as the Tharaval student explained the situation, a curious look on her face. "So they're slacking off basically"Pollux mutters. "So you came here to ask Topaz for help, so you can summon then back! That's clever!"Arcturus smiled standing beside Topaz as Ruby got up. "Think about it, how will I get 'em back if they don't even pick up their Tabs?" Topaz looked down, looking thoughtful about this. "We'd save a lot of time if we could just summon them back, right?" Arcutus glanced down at Topaz, looking nervous. "Arcky, calm down, I was just trying to talk with Topaz and you looked ready to throw down with me." Arcturus jumped a little, his body relaxing as Topaz glanced at him.
"Hey, I know you're in a hurry with the banquet and all, but you kind of scared us"Arcturus replied glancing at Pollux, noticing he was still tense. "Yeah, you had a mean look on your face, I thought you were here to pick a fight with Topaz"Pollux agreed scowling at the student. "He did look pretty aggressive"Ruby jumped in. "See? Aggressive. You could've relaxed a little, it'd not like we refuse to help people"Pollux growled. "Alright, fine, I'm sorry, I really am. "I know summoning magic's the way to go here, but..."Pollux sighed. "I'll help, I summoned Alpheratz so i should be able to do it." Topaz stepped forward, Arcturus and Pollux looking at her worried yet shocked, Ruby snorting again disbelieving.
Topaz stood in the garden, looking around silently. "Thanks for even trying, so the slackers are..." Topa nodded, listening to him silently as he told her the names. She held her hands up, focusing on summoning them back, but only a calming aura wafted from her, calming the boys around her down. She lowered her hands, looking disappointed. "Well that was definitely a failure"Pollux sighed shaking his head. "Topaz tried, Pollux, don't be like that"Arcturus defended frowning at him. "No wait! I wasn't making fun of her...we all expected this to happen, didn't we?"Pollux yelped, "What I'm saying is, this ain't the kind of thing you can get right on the first try." Topaz stared at her hands then frowned. "I'll try again!"Topaz announces startling them.
