(This takes place under the idea that the nogitsune sent the Oni after Vic instead of Allison at Oak Creek. So I'm gonna be changing a lot about the canon because of this)

"How do we stop them?" Isaac called.

Noshiko hid in the doorway to one of the buildings. She had no weapons so she stayed out of the way. "You can't!" she exclaimed.

Vic parried a strike and swung the sword for the demon's head but it disappeared. She turned to the side and blocked the sword before it could cut her in half. Vic's blade crossed with an Oni once more. She reached out with one hand and clasped onto the demon's wrist. Stop this, she demanded.

Obey Master. Master says protect him. The monotone voice the demon spoke with filled her head. Its yellow green eyes glowed as it challenged her.

But bears were known for their strength.

That isn't your master, Vic told the demon. It only has control of you because it broke the tail. Your original master is Noshiko. Your mission is to kill the nogitsune and everything standing in your way.

The Onis eyes stopped glowing before it disappeared. Vic looked around before it reappeared and blocked the sword of the Oni that was fighting Kira.

"How did you do that?" Kira asked.

"I have no fucking clue!" Vic exclaimed. She ran to where Isaac we being beat. Badly. She blocked the blade of an Oni about to make a kill strike and pushed it back. Isaac tackled the other. It disappeared into smoke before it could hit the ground so only Isaac felt the impact of the ground.

Kuma. The word appeared in her mind with the monotone ring of the Oni's voice. Kill the kuma.

Vic turned to the demons as they all stared at her. She growled, her grip on the sword tight.

The Oni charged. Vic blocked one, kicked away a second one. Isaac did his share, grabbed an Oni and flipped it over his shoulder. It vanished before it hit the ground, reappearing in front of Vic. She parried and dodged the blades, each one out to kill with each stroke. She blocked the blade of an Oni, another coming on her right. Kira suddenly appeared there, blocking the strike, pushing the demon back. Isaac growled at her side.

Vic heard the whistle of an arrow. She kicked the Oni away, directly into the path of the arrow. The shaft stuck into its chest and it stayed there. It didn't go through like the others had. It stayed there. The demon dropped its blade to grab the arrow. A yellow-green light glowed from the entry point. The other demons froze to watch. A second later, Oni and arrow both disappeared.

Vic smiled, one that reached both her ears. That was when she heard the scream. It echoed through the walls of Oak Creek, into the courtyard. That was when the Oni, the one Vic had convinced to fight with them, plunged a sword into her back. It broke her spine and punctured her heart at the same time.

Kira and Isaac spun around. Kira slashed at the demon. It disappeared, sword and all. Vic had nothing holding her up. Her sword fell from her hand. Isaac caught her before she could hit the ground.

She was dead before he even lowered to his knees.

He held her, tried to get her to open her eyes as his clothes turned red. Kira ran to her mother. Allison ran to the girl, her bow in hand. Vic's eyes were wide open, her crystal blue irises frozen in terror.

Scott ran in to the courtyard. He froze at the sight in front of him. "No," he whispered. He ran over and crouched next to Isaac. He took the girl in his arms, her head crooked in his elbow. "Vic, can you hear me?" He couldn't hear her heartbeat. She didn't have one. "Please, please say something. Vic, please."
