The Dress

(The only reason I'm doing this is because I've had an idea for Vic's prom/graduation dress and I REALLY wanna put it out there)

Lydia came an hour before he did. He saw the car in the driveway, confused. Vic's graduation wasn't until seven, why was his girlfriend at his house five thirty? He had no answer.

He walked inside and found his dad in the dining room, a box of files around him. The sheriff looked up at the sound of the door opening. He smiled and stood up. "Hey kiddo," his dad greeted.

Stiles smiled and hugged his dad. "Hey Dad," he said. He pulled away and shrugged off his coat. "Why's Lydia here?" he asked.

His dad sighed and gestured to the hallway. "She came to help Vic get ready. I've been hearing complaints for the past half hour."

Almost immediately after, there was a sharp "Ow!" that came from the bathroom. "Did you have to pull that hard?" his sister demanded.

"Do you want tangles in your hair for this thing?" Lydia replied. There was a momentary pause, followed by, "Don't growl at me. You know I'm right."

"Half hour, huh?" Stiles asked.

His dad nodded. "Pretty much."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At six fifteen Lydia walked out of the hallway. She had her hair down and curled, makeup on her face (though she didn't need it). She wore an emerald green dress that went to her calves and lace along the hem. Both males, now in their suits, looked over at the young woman.

"May I introduce," Lydia began, "after a lot of work-" She was interrupted by a deep growl from Vic's room. "Okay, okay. Vic Stilinski."

Vic walked out from the hall. Lydia smiled at her. Her hair spilled across her shoulder blades, curled at the ends. Her face was clear of makeup, a victory that was no small feat. She had on sandals with blue straps inlaid with (fake) dark blue crystals with no heels.

Her favourite part was the dress.

It wasn't really a dress. It was more a jumpsuit with a skirt that opened around her legs and whisked behind her. The cuffs went to her ankles. The material clung to her body, leaving nothing to the imagination. She didn't mind. She didn't have much to show. It was strapless, stopping at the tip of her collarbones. Her necklace was cool against her skin.

The best part was the colour. The bottom of the skirt and the pants were dark blue, like the ocean. But as it went up her legs, it got lighter till the tops of her thighs were the same colour as a cloudless sky. Her waist and hips were light blue, so light it was hard to see the colour that faded into white. The top of the jumpsuit was clear white, the colour of printer paper.

Vic loved it the second she saw it in the store. Only Mason knew she got it, and he could see her excitement when she tried it on in a change room.

Stiles blinked in shock. Her dad seemed the equal amount of surprised.

"I think we broke them," Vic whispered to Lydia.

"That is a possibility," Lydia replied.

Vic laughed, a smile on her face that made her cheeks hurt.

Yeah, so the only reason I did this was to write about the dress. I hope you guys have an idea of what it looks like because I absolutely love the image I have.

My girl, all grown up and graduated. Okay now I'm crying. See you later, wolves.
