Chapter 2: Saturday at Nick's

The next day, as it was Saturday, Nick and Charlie decided to meet at Nick's house to spend the day together, now that they were officially dating.

What Charlie didn't know was that Nick had a surprise date planned for him on Sunday.

Charlie got up late, mid-morning, he took a shower and as usual took half an hour to decide what to wear.

As he was done dressing up, a mysterious figure approached the door and whispered...

Tori: Hi

Charlie: God, Tori, you scared me! Why do I never feel you coming?

Tori: Potentially because of my Older Sister Magic...Are you gonna see your friend Nick Nelson?

Charlie: Eeeem...yeah, and maybe he's more than just my friend now.

Tori (with mischievous look): Something like... your boyfriend?

Charlie blushed.

Tori: I'm happy for you, you really looked desperate for both to end up together.

Charlie: Stop!

An imp came down the hall, the little one of the house.

Oliver: Who are together? Charlie is in love?

Charlie (trying to change the subject): Don't listen to Tori, it's her nonsense.

Oliver: Are you sure? You look red as a tomato.

And Charlie ended up surrendering to the adorable face of his little brother.

Charlie: Ollie, I'm going to tell you, but not a word to Mom and Dad, at least not yet, okay?

The little boy nodded.

Charlie (blushing): Yes, I'm in love, I have a boyfriend and I'd like us to stay together forever.

Oliver: And who is he? Do I know him? Is he from Truham?

Charlie (blushing again): It's Nick, Nick Nelson.

Oliver (excited): Nick is your boyfriend? And then you guys are going to get married and Nick is going to be part of the family and I'm going to have a one sister and two older brothers?

Charlie: I wish, Ollie, I'd love all you've said to come true.

Oliver (jumping and yelling): Hooray!

Tori: But you know Mom and Dad shouldn't know anything, it's Charlie who has to tell them.

Oliver: Okay, hehe.

Charlie: Oh my god, it's so late, Nick must be waiting for me!

And he ran down the stairs at full speed to the first floor below. When he was opening the door to leave...

Jane: Charlie, where are you going to?

Charlie: I'll be at Nick's, dad gave me permission, I'll stay and eat there.

Jane: Okay, but don't be back very late.

Julio: Call me if you need anything, honey.

Charlie: I will, bye.

And he ran quickly, as only he knew how to do in PE classes, until he was standing in front of the door.

It seemed strange to him that Nick hadn't texted, it was already almost noon.

It was the first time that he went to his house as boyfriend and he was quite nervous. He didn't know if he would be able to hide it in front of Nick's mom.
