Three months pass and it is time for the discussion conference with the other sects. I plan to bring to light the Jang sect's crimes. Though one of the Lan sect rules does not lie, for the safety of my son Wen Yuan I will make an exception. This year it is to be held at the Nie sect. Sect leader Nie is a friend and knew Wei Changze (Yilling Patriarch) and Cangse Sanren and talked about their son every time I saw him. He will want to help protect A-Yuan and I will explain.

This year I have decided to bring both my nephews and new son with me. I am carrying Wei Ying/Wen Yuan and Lan Zan is clutching the side of my robe with Lan Huan following behind. After a long discussion with Wen Ruohan, we have made a back story of Wen Yuan so that way no one will be able to connect him with Wei Ying's death.

I was greeting everyone as they came in when I noticed Lan Qiren coming in with his two nephews and a child in his arms. Walking up to them I looked at the boy. He looked afraid but Lan Zan looked up at him and they both smiled. This startled me because I have never seen the second young master Lan smile and he usually never comes because of how young he is. Just who is the child in Lan Qiren's arms?

When seated the food is brought out and I watch as the child in Lan Qiren's arms looks up at him with a questioning look before he starts eating. He eats as if he is scared that the food will disappear. There is a nasty jagged scar threw his right eye and snowy white hair falls over part of his left eye with the rest of his locks being raven black. After the meal, Lan Qiren passes the boy to sect leader Wen before standing up and asking for permission to speak.
