I am startled as I am engulfed in a hug. There is only one person that hugs me. I can feel the spiritual energy coming off of him. He is my son but looks so different. His energy is mixed with that of a spiritual animal. It is hard to feel but I know it is there and a powerful one at that. That would make sense as to why his hair and eye color have changed. What animal would connect themselves to a cultivator?

"How's my son? (smiling) Getting into trouble?"-Uncle Kai

"Of course. I brought someone with me."-Lan WenYew

The man before me is dressed in whites and blues. He is wearing the cloud headband of the Lan Sect. This must be A-Yews uncle. "I am Rue SoKai, A-Yew's adopted father."

This is his Uncle Kai! He is not what I expected. He looks like he is in his early twenties, which is not possible if he has raised WenYew for the last ten years. He has to be at least in his early thirties. He has dark red hair hanging down with a few braids hanging on the sides white beads entwined, no bones! A simple piece of black bamboo holds his hair in a half ponytail. A snake fang dangling from his right ear. There is a jagged scar going from just below his right eye around his nose and threw his lip to the left cheek. He is around six feet and pale with brown-red eyes! His clothes are also made from a patchwork of hemp and straw. There is a stained, chipped token hanging on his belt that shows he is a disciple of Bosu Siren. Why would he be living in a place like this?

I realize his skin is even paler if possible than WenYew's. When he introduces himself I shake his hand and almost let go in shock. His hand is like holding ice. His movements are stiff like an old man or (could it be possible) a walking corpse? That is rude, none of them can be called a walking corpse. They are all more lively than that. Maybe zombie is a better word. He can not be a zombie. Not possible. He has human speech.

I can tell he is startled when he shakes my hand. A-Yew did not tell him I was a zombie then. It would be hard to tell since I did not turn into a revengeful spirit or get consumed by resentful energy. My body is still pure and I possess the Silver core I had when I died. Even an immortal can be killed. No one can truly live forever. There is also the fact that I can speak.

"Come with me. You must be hungry. Did you bring food or should I send one of the others to the market?"-Uncle Kai

I pull out the food, but nothing is made. Uncle Kai takes some to make us dinner. He has been a great cook all these years and passed that skill on to me. He leads us inside a wooden hut. This must be my dining/kitchen off to the side of the recreation building that was being built when I left. There are some drums, and instruments on one side. Woven balls to play with and a weaving area. The river had not even been filled with water. I watched my uncle walk around inspecting everything.

Uncle Kai came out carrying two steaming bowls of soup leaving out the meat for Uncle Ming. How he knew that I do not know. Then again he spent years finding information on the Lan Sect for me without leaving Yilling. He has gotten good at mingling with the villagers and can pass for one of the living.
