"What... is it...?", Jihyo questioned in fear.
Jeongyeon slowly flipped the diary around to the members to reveal Lucy's name written in dark red.
"Is.. t-that blood", Sana mumbled in horror with her hand over her mouth.
Momo was on the verge of collapsing but Nayeon caught her. The other members were speechless. They stood there staring at each other.
A slip of paper finally broke the silence as it fell out of the diary. Tzuyu picked it up and unfolded it. It was an interior map of the orphanage with a circle marked.
"Where does this lead to?", Jihyo asked, still shaking.
"Probably to Lucy.", said Jeongyeon.
"No please, I just want to leave! We're not going to find her are we?", Momo panicked.
"Well we have to save her if she's in danger!", Sana replied.
"But what if she isn't alive anymore? There's literally blood on the diary!", Momo argued.
"Come on, this is a safe orphanage. Why would anyone be dying in here? This is probably just paint". Jeongyeon tried to stay optimistic.
"Well you girls can go, I'm going to stay here", Momo spat.
"Fine, you stay here by yourself while the rest of us finds Lucy", Jeongyeon replied.
"I will stay here with Momo to keep her company", said Nayeon.
"You're not scared too, are you?", Jeongyeon teased.
"No i'm not! I'm staying here just in case something happens to her", Nayeon quickly responded.
"Alright then, you girls stay here. Just scream if anything bad happens.", said Jihyo.
The 7 girls left to follow the map, exploring deeper into the orphanage. The walls were stripped of paint, the wooden floor was rotting and the lights flickered every couple of seconds. Every small noise could be heard throughout the building and there was a foul smell which made the girls cover their nose. The marked area on the map was located at the very back of the building where light was no longer provided. The girls took out their phones and continued, holding onto each other as they looked through each room they passed.
"Still think there's children living in here?", Tzuyu asked.
"I'm not sure. But, wherever they are, I hope they're alright", Sana replied with a worried look on her face.
"We're getting closer, it's just up ahead", Jeongyeon said.
They were approaching a room with Lucy written on it.
"This must be Lucy's room", Chaeyoung said.
"Should we open it?", Mina asked while hiding behind Chaeyoung.
"Well, looks like we have to.", Jeongyeon replied as she held the handle of the door.
She tried to turn the handle but it wouldn't move. Pushing didn't seem to work either.
"Should we kick it down?", Jihyo said, but Jeongyeon was already doing it.
Jihyo joined in and they both began smashing the door.
"It's working!", Sana shouted.
The door began coming off the hinges and with one last kick, the door went flying.
"Oh my god.", Jeongyeon froze in horror.
"Girl's don't-t look", Jihyo stuttered, but it was too late.
Sana let out a ear piercing scream and fell back, feeling sick to the stomach. Mina's face went pale and Dahyun struggled to keep herself from fainting.
The body of Lucy had been found. Her lifeless corpse sat there in that cramped room rotting away, with blood smeared all over the walls. Her chest was opened up, revealing pieces of her damaged organs.
The girls could not handle the sight of the poor soul. They began grieving Lucy's death. Jeongyeon, trying to compose herself, took a glimpse at the body and saw that something was stuck inside Lucy's chest. She managed to bring herself to walk into the room and pull out the object.
"Girls, it's a-another diary", Jeongyeon struggled to get the words out of her mouth as she spoke to the others, who were still traumatised by the sight.
She opened the bloody diary and began to read it.
"Dear Diary,
I am Lucy and I'm writing this in my spare diary because the teachers took away my other one. I woke up tonight to a loud bang coming from the kitchen and decided to go see what it was. I was about to open the door to the kitchen when I heard one of the teachers screaming. I opened the door slightly so I could peak through. Annie was laying on the floor. The teacher had a rolling pin in her hand. I got scared so I ran away."
Jeongyeon quickly scanned through the pages to find out what happened to Annie and Lucy. A specific page caught her eye. The writing was hard to read and it seemed like she was in a rush.
"dEar DiARy,

"The poor kids! What did the teachers do to them?", Sana sobbed while feeling nauseaous.
Jeongyeon struggled to read out the rest of the page. She flipped over and was surprised to see that this page was neatly written. It almost seemed like someone else's handwriting.
"Dear Diary,
Today I had a good day. The kids were quiet and no one bothered me. I think I can finally enjoy my time here."
"What is she talking about?", Jeongyeon said to herself as she flipped the pages.
"Dear Diary,
I woke up in the basement today and found Lucy's diary in my hands. I am now writing this to tell you I am going to seal myself up. I cannot risk harming anymore people. By then, I will no longer be amongst the living. If anyone is reading this, please what ever you do, don't".
"Don't what? What the hell happened to Lucy?", "Jihyo asked as she helped Sana off the ground.
"I don't know, the page has been ripped off", Jeongyeon explained.
Before Jeongyeon could turn the page to continue reading, a scream echoed in the distance.
"That's Momo!", Sana cried out.
